Great breakfast, reasonably priced drinks
Expensive for standard of accommodation
The place is very nice, has small rooms, but for the price one pays it is well worth it.
As you don't spend much time in the room, this is also not a problem.
Service was great, all bedding was perfect.
Would go back there next time.
Can be a bit noisy form people in the streets, but not to bad.
w b boyle
will definately be back
The torenzicht is an absolute perfect place to stay in Amsterdam, I stayed in a triple room with my two brothers there was plenty of space, clean ,comfortable and safe, 24 hr security door that u need to be buzzed in to gain entry and only 5 to 10 min walk to most places, bathroom and showers very clean , staff very helpful and polite, hotel bar open 24 hrs to guests, b/fst very good ,I know were I will be staying next time
Honestly can't think of any
*my tipBook now
Great place and ideal for long weekend stay to enjoy Amsterdam.
Price versus other hotels nearby
No so load than expected considerint the bar in the bottom floor.
Breakfats (only based on English need)
Load only due to the street trafic but helps us to get the atmosphere of Amsterdam.
Its a great hotel convienient to everywhere like the train station and red light destrict. the staff where friendly and helpful. its a very clean and safe hotel.
*my tipWes i do
Good value centrally located hotel
The hotel is situated in the red light district which is between Central Station and Dam square. I booked a single room (they gave me a twin) which was clean, warm and basic with washing facilities, a shower and toilet were just outside my room. Breakfast was very english and tasty and as much as you like served between 9.30 - 10.30.
None really as i was satisfied with what I had paid for, just 45.00 euro B & B , good value for a city centre hotel.
hotel name should be called..Back In Time...
Great location for coffee shops and red light district
Room was in need of a serious update, not very clean, ie stains on the walls and carpets, shared toilet and shower that was from the dark ages, ie no heating or shower curtain
*my tipas above....
Stay away from here
Very good location, free Wi-Fi
A lot of noise from the street, stale food at breakfast and very poor hygiene.
Good, central-located budget-hotel
We were surprised in a positive way.
We stayed for a weekend and had a 3 bed private room with toilet and shower in the hall.
The room was quite simple but bigger than expected.
The toilets and showers seemed relatively new and were clean and descent.
Linen and towels were included, so you don't have to bring that (they don't mension that anywhere).
The hotel is situated in the red light district right beside a striptease club and across from the sex museum, but we didn't feel unsafe at any time, there was always a lot of people around having a good time, and it's only a 5 min walk to Dam square.
There was a 24 hour reception consisting of a bar on the ground floor which was actually quite cosy, and the staff were polite and helpful.
There was a breakfast buffet from 9 to 10. It wasn't the best breakfast but it was convenient that we didn't have to go out to get a quick bite to eat when we were hungover.
The biggest minus is the noise (in the weekend anyway, don't know about monday to thursday). There is a lot of noise from the street all day and most of the night, probably until around 4 or 5 in the morning. The hotel is very exposed to the noise from the street and from other rooms so it is not a bad idea to bring earplugs.
All in all I would definitely stay here again if I went to Amsterdam with friends and we were on a budget.
Good value for budget in central location
Room was spacious
Winding tight staircase
Toilet shower area was pretty cosy, however was clean
good location, but too expensive
the staff was nice, the breakfast as well. in a good location in the heart of the red light district.
the hygiene. the rooms and the baths are old and not that clean as if one would expect.
definetly too expensive for such a dirty room.
