Park Plaza Vondelpark in Amsterdam

• + Reception staff was very helpful and happy to safely store my luggage until late that evening.
• – Definitely NOT worth its four stars. The "modern" furniture in reception was where it stopped. The halls and bedroom looked very tired and outdated and can use an update.
• * my tip Close to Tram stop. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Great hotel, great location

• + Best hotel I have stayed in in Amsterdam. Large rooms, comfortable beds, great breakfast.
• – None that I was aware of.
• * my tip Get a chipkart from any convenience store for the length of your stay. The #2 trolley goes straight to the hotel from downtown.

Worst personnel ever!

• – The hotel is NOT a 4 star, it is overpriced and the services are shamefully poor. I booked this hotel for friends/ relatives coming to visit and I had to apologize for the way they were treated. Very embarrassing! A friend let a dress to be dried cleaned with the hotel service and two days after it was not done. 'cause the dry cleaner was closed for the week and they never bothered to announce my friend! the personnel is bothered if you ask them to call a taxi or where a florist is etc...

• + Great location and great staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again!
• – There was a moldy smell in the room

Comfortable but has some down sides.

• + Staff was always very helpful with any questions we had. LOVE the lobby bar!!
• – Black mold in the shower. The bed was actually two twin mattresses pushed together. I guess that's common for Amsterdam but not what I was expecting.

exquisite environment at park and plaza hotel, vondelpark.

• + I really enjoyed my stay here and wouldn't mind coming back anytime in Amsterdam to d same hotel. Service is excellent, rooms are clean, friendly staff, (from receptionist to bar and houskeepers). Due to this, I extended my stay by a day, instead of two nights, stayed three nights.
• – My only problem is the room curtain, its too light so the sun easily set on the bed affecting your face when still enjoying your sleep, which is uncomfortable. Room 554, Thank you.
• * my tip I will recommend it to any of my friends who want to come to Amsterdam for holidays, but not yet.

Does the job, hope your pipes are better

• + -Very Comfy Bed
• – -Nasty Sewer Smell coming from the shower. Someone might want to check the pipes there. -Glass door in the shower jammed/collided into glass wall, making a screeching noise. -Bit pricey

very good hotel, quiet and clean!

• + the hotel was really great. the room was quite big and very quiet I appreciated the fact that the hotel was very near from the vondel park. very good breakfast.
• – the hotel is a little far from the center walking but the tram is very near and get you to the center very easily.

Unhelpful staff!

• + easy access to Number 2 tram into central station and dam square
• – People were not friendly at this hotel at all. And 3.50 euro for a water at the hotel counter. Very small room for 2 people.

Amsterdam

• + the big bathroom, the very comfortable bed and the friendly service
• – The jacuzzi was smaller as shown on the website photos and the coffee machine was not working very well.

Great comfort in a good location

• + conveniently located on Tram line 2 and close to the museum district
• – insufficient lighting in the room for reading or working

Quiet Amsterdam City Hotel

• + Nice quiet location but well located for all key areas of the city. Good quality rooms. Very clean and well maintained.
• – Bathroom doesn't have a shelf or space to place personal toiletries (shaving kit, toothbrush, etc.) which was a minor irritant. No real choice of restaurants in easy walking distance of the hotel.

Great Hotel but little expensive.

• + Great Location, safe neighborhood, easy connectivity to the city, very near Vondelpark.
• – Rooms small for the price paid, not very impressed with the glass bathroom as a part of the room.

good location for museum visits

• + Right off the number 2 tram stop which makes it very convenient to the Van Gogh and Rijks museums. Quiet neighborhood and the nearby Vondelpark is lovely. Breakfast is very nice with a good variety. Staff friendly and helpful.
• – Our room had a 2 foot long stripe of mud in the middle of a white wall which made you wonder though the rest of the room was clean. Bathroom/shower combo was enclosed in a combination of clear or frosted glass which provided minimal privacy.

Ideal for visiting the museum district

Two nights in Amsterdam, nothing bad to say about Vondelpark.

• + Nice rooms, friendly and very positive staff. Nice surroundings a bit out of the hussle of downtown Amsterdam, but with good public transportation connections. Excellent price vs quality.

Not quite what you would expect from 4 stars

• + Friendly service and good location.
• – It was very discouraging to discover mould on the wall behind the curtain and cobwebs in the bathroom. Not to mention an unidentified stop on the pillow. We also couldn't quite figure out how to manage the double airing system of a hearter and an air-coditioner working simultaneously. They also made a hell of a noise (not very romantic, as you can imagine). It is also not very romantic to find a bathroom with fairly see-through walls. Some things you just don't want your partner to see, no matter how intimate you are.

• – Amsterdam is getting more expensive -try not let it become over priced London or Paris - keep sensible pricing , The Dutch have always offered a relaxed honest good value experience - keep it sensible

One night in Amsterdam

• + Helpfull reception desk. Tea and coffee facilty in room.
• – Worn reception desk. Awfull pink doors on the 3rd floor.

Beautiful hotel on Vondelpark near city center

• + Beautiful location on Vondelpark. Quiet neighborhood, but still very close to the bustling city center and easily reached by tram 2.

Pleasant and relaxed for a weekend away
