The greatest thing was being at a transportation hub for Europe and Belgium in general, and Antwerp in particular.
Having the Astrid trolley platform right under the hotel. The porter gave excellent directions, including use of the "Lijn".
Having bikes available for the guests was a nice touch.
Having BBC available on the TV was a plus for us English speakers.
Beautiful interior.

I had to provisionally re-arrange one of my nights stay with another sister hotel, as initially the 3 days I requested were not available, but on arrival after again requesting that I needed to stay for another night, the hotel advised that I could stay, but the rate had gone up significantly, from €189 - €219. This is not good business practice to instil loyalty.

Big student party at hotel til 4.40am on floor below us meant we didn't sleep for most of night. So much for family friendly! Manager reluctant to discount anything. Had to argue with him and all he took off was the food bill (see below for why this doesn't make good). Appalling! Food terrible, sent back boot-leather steaks, swapped for equally awful burgers. No way would we recommend this place or stay there again.

Toilet was zichtbaar niet schoongemaakt. Dat geeft te denken over de rest van de hygiene.
