Friendly hotel with a good buffet.

• + The restaurant had a really good buffet and the price was right for it. The second room we got in was really huge. The roomservice lady payed good attention that she wouldn't hurt one of our exploring cat's when she cleared the 3th bed.
• – The first room we got into had dogpee on the wall next to the door and that smelled really bad (no idea how cleaning could have overlooked that). But luckely we got a 3 person room when we complained about it. 10 euro per cat you bring per night is a little high priced in my opinion.
• * my tip If you want to bring pets, choose the rooms with a balconny or terras, the cheapest once aren't allowed for pet's.

• – te weinig kastruimte, te weinig licht in toilet, chaotische omgeving ivm vele familie aangelegenheden met kerst.

Goed hotel in prachtige omgeving

• + goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding
• – bij reservering in restaurant bleek dat we vlak bij een kassa zaten, hoogst onaangenaam. De medewerkers boeken daar al hun bestellingen en staan dus met elkaar te kwetteren. Men zou er goed aan doen om dus geen tafels zo dichtbij deze plek te situeren. Vervolgens is het dus een heel gedoe om wel een geschikt plekje te krijgen en vind ik niet dat het personeel dat op een vriendelijke manier doet.
• * my tip Jazeker. Bij reservering in het restaurants altijd goed overleggen waar je wilt zitten! Denk aan de irritante kassa die overal in het restaurant staan. En bij drukte je niet laten afschepen in de lobby een drankje te doen want uiteindelijk is er voldoende plaats om in de brasserie achter de lobby even iets te drinken .

• + It was great to find a hotel with a family room, its not always easy to find this.
• – I would like the cost to include breakfast at least for the children.

• – I lived in 113 - there was an air conditioning "pump" or engine outside my window making noises all night.

Not enough value for money

• + Good value for money in restaurant.
• – Very poor connection on wireless internet in the room.

Not my favorite Valk hotel.

• + Convenient to a major highway.
• – Needs some healthy choices on the menu in the restaurant. Rooms need to be redecorated and upgraded. Hotel is not located in Apeldoorn but Ede as indicated by brochure and internet. Service upon registration was non-existent.

• + It did not took al long time to change the room and everyone was very friendly.
• – The bed has not been made in the room and had to change the room. The window has also been open.

Very pleasant and welcoming

• + Very accomodating. Initially the room we were allocated was too small and cold; without hesitation we were moved to a more appealing room of the standard we had come to expect from our previous five stays at the hotel
• – Two levels to the hotel from the old style rooms which are still very good, to the new build which have very stylish accomodation . Introduction of the buffet was good but became a bit of a "scrum" to get the food you wanted - would have been better to have more chefs live cooking to cater for peoples desires! Downstairs bar area needed more chairs and smelt of old socks, but after enough alcholhol you got used to it!!!!

Good hotel, excellent rooms.

• + Food excellent, especially evening menu. Room very large and modern, excellent shower. No noise from adjoining rooms, or even the nearby A1 road. Very clean, and welcoming hotel. It has a strange layout with easiest access to some rooms via the restaurant.
• – No easy access via public transport.

Varied standards in the "standard room"

• + The hotel is cosy and the bathroom of a standard room is very nice. It is so neatly designed that you feel like spending the night in there.
• – The pictures on the hotels.nl website do not match the rooms. There is a HUGE difference between what is presented to one, and what is actually offered. The interior design of the double standard room, varies in quality. Old wooden closets seem out of place with other parts of the room, especially the bathroom. Also, the two single beds in a standard room have weels that cannot be locked, meaning if you are a couple sleeping in the beds, you will roll apart if you move to much. There is no information about the interior arrangements of the rooms you order through hotels.nl.

Uitstekend hotel!!

• + Zeer luxe, sfeervol en vooral keurig ingericht hotel. Zeer ruime (familie) kamer, alles brandschoon.
• – Geen! Uitstekend hotel!

De Cantharel needs to be renewed, renovated

• – unclean floors at side entrance, building site with rubbish on ground. Hotel an rooms pretty old, needs renovaiton urgently!

• – Kamer 318 die ik kreeg aangewezen was niet schoon en het bed was beslapen, dit bij de balie gemeld waarna ik een andere kamer heb gekregen deze was wel goed

• – After having a shower there was no means of clearing the water from the bathroom floor other then using our towels. We would have prefered to use a squeegee
