Hotel De Herbergh van Badhoevedorp is conveniently situated with regard to the centre of Amsterdam and Schiphol Amsterdam Airport. Good connections to Zandvoort and Haarlem facilitate the business traveller as well as the casual culture seeking guest. The Dutch are renowned for reclaiming many parts of the land that transformed to marshes due to the force of water. These pieces of land were named 'polders' and demanded a lot of work and time. This hard work required a haven of tranquillity and comfort. De Herbergh van Badhoevedorp provided an oasis of calmness in her former function as café and meeting point for weary travellers along the polder roads. Nowadays, this function literally covers more ground and provides excellent comfort in a convenient environment. Guests can use a free shuttle bus service that operates from 04.35 h. in the morning until 01:50 h. at night. The shuttle bus runs between the airport and Novotel Amsterdam Airport, which is located at a 2-minute walking distance. The hotel is situated just above the Airport, which makes it very suitable for travellers who want to see a little more of the country. The beaches of Zandvoort, the lovely historical city of Haarlem and of course the centre of Amsterdam are all within reach.

All of the rooms are equipped with telephone, (massage)shower and toilet, television with free Canal (sports & movies), hairdryer and comfortable chair with reading light. On request an iron and ironing board are available. Hotel De Herbergh van Badhoevedorp offers excellent facilities for meetings, receptions or private dinners. On request the conference room can be arranged and fitted for up to 100 guests.

Food and Drinks

Professionalism and culinary delight go hand in hand at Restaurant De Herbergh. The chef de cuisine presents tasteful masterpieces with an a la carte menu that changes 6 times a year. On sunny days, exquisite dinners or lunches can be enjoyed on the cosy outside terrace. The restaurant offers season-bound meat and fish dishes and excellent desserts, composed of daily fresh ingredients. Dishes are pleasantly completed with a wide variety of international wines, from classic vineyards as well as present day wine estates. Every month, six fine wines are offered to accompany the dishes on the impressive menu. The cosy bar offers the chance to end the day in style, with a refreshing drink. Guests can also visit restaurant Trattoria La Bocca next to the hotel. This restaurant is open from wednesday till saturday from 17:30 h and on sunday from 13:00 hPlease note: On Sundays the restaurant is closed for lunch and dinner!

The shuttle bus from partner hotel Novotel Amsterdam Airport will take you to Schiphol in a few minutes. Schiphol offers excellent connections by train, towards the larger cities.

"Monica" @ the front desk was very helpful. I left a cell phone charger in the room after checking out, and called them from the airport. She made sure someone from the hotel took it down to the shuttle, and I met the shuttle at the airport to retrieve the charger. Service over and above the norm. Thank you.
Location is a minus. Badhoevedorp is out away from everything, which is peaceful, but an expensive taxi fare or a shuttle bus and train ride from any shopping or sight seeing, etc.

Cozy, welcoming atmosphere, excellent restaurant and friendly staff. Furnishings and beds higher standard in quality and comfort than would be expected for the price. Free internet access is good.
Coffee machine, but no cups, no mini-bar or fridge, front rooms are very close to the busy street and noisy if windows are opened (or unable to latch as in one of our two rooms). Brochure indicates fitness equipment, but it is misleading as it is at the Novotel hotel 500m away across the busy street. Internet in the bar means enduring smoke, until July 2008.

Friendly staff. Some special Dutch candy in the room (Haagsche Hopjes). Hotel has good contacts with the local taxi service (across the street) which you may need to get to Schiphol. Easy to reach by hotel shuttle buss (once you know that you need to follow the shuttle buss directions to get to the much larger Novotel next door.
My room was on a busy road (traffic in the middle of the night). No working time display.

Service was very friendly, helpful and courtious. Breakfast was very good. Generally very satisfied with the stay and I would come again.
Cleaning in the rooms could have been a little more thorough (i.e. dust on the night table, cobwebs in the corners).

Goed verlicht Parkeerplaats in prijs inbegrepen. Zeer behulpzame gastvrouwen. Brandschoon. Ontbijt voor €13,50 p.p. is niet teveel betaald voor het royaal gebodene. Italiaans restaurant en Bar aanwezig. Uitstekend geschikt voor kort verblijf.

Het is netjes, maar zeker niet luxe, waarmee ze wel adverteren
we hadden een luxe kamer geboekt, ik weet niet wat ze onder luxe verstaan maar voor ons was het een standaard kamer. Misschien de waterkoker?!? We moesten zelf achter iemand aan om drinken ed te krijgen in het café. Gemeld dat we teleurgesteld waren maar hier werd NIET op gereageerd!

Ligt direct aan een doorgaande weg, als je terug komt van een reis, en je hebt een kamer aan de weg, dan is dat enigszins storend.

Prettig restaurant, vriendelijk personeel. Ideaal hotel als je geen 'hotelfabriek' wilt, maar daardoor juist ook weer niet ideaal als je een hele vroege vlucht moet halen.
Geen nachtportier, geen lift, rare kamernummers (304 is kamer 4), geen werkende klokradio of wake-up call waardoor ik bijna mijn vlucht miste.

Ausgezeichnetes , wenn auch sehr teures Frühstück. Bei 6 Übernachtungen würden wir uns eine Pauschale erwarten.
Es war zwar eine zweite Decke vorhanden , aber die wurde in den 6 Nächten nicht einmal überzogen sehr unhygienisch. Kein Klobesen vorhanden !

zeer vriendelijke en gastvrije mensen. Van het kamermeisje tot aan de eigenaren. Men doet er alles aan om het de gasten naar de zin te meaken. Niets is hun te veel. Wij zullen zeker nog een keer terugkomen.

Zeer slechte verlichting in de kamers. Krant lezen is bijna onmogelijk. Het was niet mogelijk om ´s middags wat te nuttigen in het restaurant of de bar. Bij gezamenlijke betaling van restaurant en hotel ontvangt men geen aparte rekening van de gebruikte consumpties.

Uitstekende keuken en plezierige bediening.
Bij reservering expliciet gevraagd naar niet-roken kamer. Die blijkt in het geheel niet aanwezig. Ofschoon men uit voorzorg lucht, is er geen kruid gewassen tegen de zeer belegen rooklucht die de overnachting zeer onaangenaam maakt. De kamers zijn überhaupt aan renovatie toe.
