The luxurious hotel Golden Tulip De Wipselberg lies in the heart of the Province Gelderland, on a lovely country estate that dates from 1920. In the direct surroundings of Beekbergen lies the National Park 'De Hoge Veluwe,' a 5500 hectare landscape of woods, meres, and heaths. Bikes are for rent at the reception and it is certainly recommended to explore this beautiful area. Apeldoorn is a wonderful city if you wish to go shopping. 'Paleis het Loo' (royal palace) in Apeldoorn is also worth visiting. This more than 3 centuries old palace gives a good impresion of its last inhabitants. Paleis het Loo was the original family residence of the Dutch royal family. The 17th century atmosphere is still felt in the lavishly decorated rooms and the beautiful gardens with many fountains and flowerbeds.

Restaurant 'The Cottage' is located in the magnificent mansion on top of a hill where you are welcome for the breakfast buffet (Monday to Friday from 7.30 h. to 10.00 h. and weekends from 8.00 h. to 11.00 h.) a delicious lunch and dinner. The restaurant have also a bar / lounge where you can quietly read a newspaper and enjoy a drink.
