In the peaceful village Beesel you might believe you have left The Netherlands. Narrow streets that wind up and down the hills characterise the townscape of this village in the province Limburg. Herberg De Bongerd offers hospitality that Limburg is so famous for. Bicycles can be rented at the hotel on request.
The inn is located in an old farmhouse where the authentic architecture has been given a modern twist. At the three outside terraces of the hotel you can enjoy a nice cup of coffee with a piece of Limburger pie. When the temperatures drop at night you can settle down in one of the armchairs in the lounge. A cosy fire in the fireplace will cast away those cold autumn and winter evenings. The rooms of De Bongerd are equipped with a toilet and a shower or bath, a television and a telephone.
Food and Drinks
Breakfast is served from 07:00 to 09:00 h. on Monday through Friday. On weekends guests can have breakfast from 08:00 to 11:00 h.
The former front rooms of the farmhouse nowadays house the restaurant 'De Hoeskamer van Toos', which is a non-smoking area. In the afternoon guests can order something from the small menu and at 17:00 h. the restaurant is open for dinner service. Regional products are used to create modern dishes. The menu changes regularly and on Fridays one can enjoy a surprise menu at a set price. It is recommended to make a reservation in advance. Herberg de Bongerd also has three outside terraces, where guests can order something to eat.
Internet
The lounge of the inn also houses a public library. Guests can make free use of a computer with Internet in the library.

- The hotel does not have a 24-hour reception. Guests can check in until 21:00 h.
- An additional bed can be placed in the room on request, at a charge of €30 a night.

Beesel is a small village in Midden-Limburg. The beautiful countryside will be a pleasant surprise. True nature lovers will enjoy a visit to National Park De Meinweg. Also, the large water sports area 'De Maasplassen' offers many recreational possibilities. A visit to the picturesque white village of Thorn is also highly recommended. Here you will find impressive historical farmhouses and monumental buildings. If you wish to go shopping or have a seat at an outdoor café, both Roermond and Venlo are only 12 kilometres away.
