Golden Tulip Val Monte lies in beautiful hilly surroundings that can be explored best on foot or by bicycle. A nice excursion can be made to the village Groesbeek, where no less than nine vineyards can be found. This makes Groesbeek the village with the most vineyards in the Netherlands. The city of Nijmegen is well worth a visit too. This is the oldest city in the Netherlands and a lot of remains from the Roman Era can still be admired there. Also, the hotel is within driving distance of the German border where you can visit the city Kleve other smaller German towns, or as Kranenburg.
