Description
In the valley of the Geul river, Kasteel Geulzicht offers an attractive and peaceful accommodation, where you can truly relax. It is located against the slopes of the Geulhemerberg hill, and it has its own entrance gate with a driveway. Let the birds wake you up and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. The cities of Maastricht and Valkenburg can be reached within 15 minutes by car. A visit to the sauna and wellness center Thermae 2000 (3 kilometres) is also truly recommended. Train station Houthem-St.Gerlach is located at 900 metres from the hotel.
The English neo-gothic style castle is made of marl. The impressive large entrance hall is characterized by a white marble floor, black Namur stone and monumental fireplace. The paintings on the ceiling depict biblical scenes and mythological Roman and Greek figures.
You will stay in one of the ten spacious rooms in the castle, that are divided over two floors and the tower room. Each room has a unique interior, but all rooms have a flatscreen television, WiFi internet, minibar, safe and a trouser press, among other things. In the bathroom there is a normal bath, Roman bath or a whirlpool/hydrosauna. The panelling and the mantels give the hotel a romantic atmosphere.
Food and Drinks
Enjoy a good start of your day with a pleasant breakfast, which is served between 08:30 and 10:00 h.
The spacious sitting corners and the attractive dining room are open to hotel guests only. A white marble mantle frame, old-Dutch tiles and decorative elements on the ceilingen characterize the dining room. In this stylish ambience you can enjoy a savoury à la carte dinner. Please inform the staff of your choice for dinner before 17:00 h. The hotel also has a hotel bar, which is open from noon until 23:00 h.

Kasteel Geulzicht - Hampshire Classic in Berg en Terblijt is centrally located in the southern part of Limburg, and it is therefore a good starting point for trips to the woods of the Ardennen in Belgium or the Eifel in Germany. The cosy terraces, sauna and wellness center Thermae 2000 and the castle ruins of Valkenburg are within easy reach. By car you can also easily reach the beautiful city of Maastricht, which offers numerous shops and good restaurants. Or go for a walk along the Geul river and in the nature reserve Ingendael.
