Description
Motel de Wouwse Tol is not only within a short distance from several villages, the city of Antwerp is also a mere 30-minute drive away from Bergen op Zoom. All rooms of the hotel are equipped with a bathroom with a bath and toilet, a television, desk, telephone, and wireless Internet. The hotel has many facilities for arranging business meetings of up to 400 guests. The five meeting rooms are all air conditioned and equipped with all kinds of modern facilities.
Bergen op zoom is an authentic city in the province Noord-Brabant and has many old squares and beautiful monuments. The late-gothic city palace 'Het Markiezenhof' is well-worth a visit. Equally impressive is the prison gate or 'Lievevrouwepoort', the oldest monument in the city, dating from the 14th century. Nearby villages such as Heerle, Wouw and Wouwse Plantage match the beauty of the green surroundings. Before a municipal redistricting, these villages were stil part of the district Wouw, which has frequently been named the greenest district in The Netherlands. Since 1986 every resident of the village Wouwse Plantage can get five hanging cranesbill plants from the district council, to decorate the façades of the houses and thereby liven up the image of the village even further.
