Ideal in every way
The room was spacious and comfortable, and with a kettle and a fridge, just perfect for a short break. The swimming pool and sauna were a welcome plus. The wifi connection in the room was excellent. The staff were first class and went the extra mile in helping us.
We had a Superior room and had asked for twin beds but these rooms only have double beds. Also, the television didn t work very well with some of the channels listed not being available.
*my tipThe location is very good, just a few minutes walk from bus routes into Breda and beyond. Like most Van der Valk hotels, It is also near a major road junction giving easy access to other places.
Good location, comfortable and spacious room , but food wasnt great
Definately location for me was perfect
I was disapointed with both the evening meal and breakfast i had, especially the breakfast i thought was quite poor , the cooked food was only just warm. Not good i didnt enjoy it.

Love this hotel!
We love this hotel, it was our 3rd stay
Found the toilet seat in our bathroom very low quality
Expensive and poorly designed rooms
Poorly designed rooms with little thought for practical ideas and guest comfort
Good size room for the price
quick acses to A58/A16 for trips to Roterdam and Den Haag
Mattress in the room of low quality, slow check in it took the receptionist 35 min with only 2 people upfront
Johan van Essen
Large rooms and bathroom, very clean
Large rooms and bathrooms, clean and comfortable
Beds were very warm
Rather corporate feel but staff very pleasant and helpful.
On Sat 26 Nov there was an extremely noisy house party nearby with very loud music which went on well into the early hours. On first telling reception at midnight we were told it should soon end. However by 1 am it had not ceased. We were then offered an alternative room. This we were grateful for, as we had an early start the next day.
We should have been offered a room earlier as there were clearly unoccupied rooms. No help could be provided to move. We therefore returned to our original room the next day. This caused confusion at reception.
Also, we would have preferred a lounge area (if there was one we did not see it) rather than the few seats in reception area of hotel.
Road sognage to hotel poor.
comfort and space of the rooms, excellent restaurant
great hotel for a quik stopover good loction efficent staff.
