Description

The hospitable Atlas Hotel Village lies in the centre of the historic town of Brielle (or Den Briel), which became well-known through the Sea Beggars conquest of 1 April 1572. This historic town is surrounded by magnificent ramparts. The 57 metres high blunt church tower of St. Catharijnekerk dates back to 1417, and makes it easy to recognise Brielle from afar. Brielle houses no less than 400 monuments, such as the Town Hall and the wooden post-mill 't Vliegend Hert (The Flying Deer). The river Brielse Maas is an important area for water sports and other activities.

Atlas Hotel Village is a cosy 3-star family-run hotel that has its own bar and restaurant. There is live entertainment in the bar every Saturday evening. The rooms are all equipped with a toilet, bath or shower, television, radio and telephone. Several wheel chair accessible rooms can be found on the ground floor. There is a bus stop within walking distance. The centre of Rotterdam is about 40 kilometres away from the hotel.

The breakfast buffet is set up daily from 05:00 to 10:00 h.
The 'Brasserie' has a homely and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant offers an à la carte menu with many homemade products and seasonal dishes. The hotel has a bar that is very popular with the locals as well. Live entertainment is organized here every Saturday evening.

Anonymous Reasonable 2-3 star hotel in historic town.: 31 July 2011; 5.2; + Very good breakfast with enough choice and fresh items. staff was helpful and friendly.; - Lots of corridors and steps to get to the trooms. The cleaniness of the room. The furniture and finishings in the room are a bit outdated. All different coat hangers, no bin in the bathroom or much space to put items. The radio (under the desk) didn't work, no flat screen television but the television that was in there worked. The bar entrance next to the reception allows beer fumes and noise to engange with the hotel environment, which has a downturn effect to us.

susan A fair deal at the right price: 7 August 2010; 7.6; + We booked two triple rooms at 75 euros per room which were newly refurbished, large and clean, with good ensuite facilities including a bath. The buffet breakfast was quite adequate for the price paid. The street was quite quiet although we were close to the middle of town, restaurants bars etc. The staff were helpful with our requirements for safe cycle storage and the hotel was conveniently located for the LF1 north sea cycle route.; - The public areas and corridors are dowdy and old fashioned, giving a poor first impression compared to the quality of the rooms we had. However, I would prefer this to the usual scenario where hotels spend a fortune on the public areas only to disappoint when you get to your room.

Anonymous Good quality for money: 5 July 2009; 6.2; + Hotel is opened 24h a day so you can check in late; - The breakfast buffet was almost empty when we arrived at 10 am: no plates, no coffee cups, no eggs, almost no yoghurt, almost no bread. A lady came to put only 6 bunns onto the buffet. It took them more than 30 minutes to clean tables that were used. After having the breakfast we had a look into the hotel description in our room, here it stated that the breakfast buffet was opened untill only 10am instead of what the clerck told us 11am. We were lucky to have a room at the back of the hotel, we arrived on a saturday and there are some bars in front of the hotel. Sleeping in the front would give more problems with the noice outside.

(we were not here for a party!); - Very noisy. we were there on Friday and saturday nights. I felt as if I was sitting outside in the street with the people outside the cafe/bar. Our room was directly over the bar. On both nights it was not quiet until after 2am. If I had known earlier I would have booked elsewhere.

De kamer was heerlijk ruim ! ! Ga je de voordeur uit sta je in een leuke winkelstraat met heerlijke restaurantjes. Ook was mevrouw vrijdag direct bereidt om onze fietsen veilig onder te brengen.; - zondag bij het ontbijtbuffet liep er een niet zo`n goedverzorde vrouw ( sorry) die aan haar eigen tafel rookte. Vriendelijk personeel.; - De kamer was erg lklein,met het uitzicht op oude daken. De douche was niet te gebruiken, of er kwsm geen water of heel heet, en de koude kran deed niets. De toilet bril zat los. alles zag er wat haveloos uit. Wel schoon.

De kamer was schoon.; - Wij kregen een zolderkamer die behoorlijk gedateerd was en absoluut niet overeenkwam met de foto op de site! De broodjes bij het ontbijt waren taai... In de bar van het hotel wordt 'gewoon' gerookt...

Eèn stoel om op te zitten de andere persoon moest op het bed liggen.Was de een bezig bv. met zich aan te kleden moest de ander wachten op bed . We hebben 65 euro voor deze kamer betaalt, maar was nog geen 10 euro waard.

Rita Voor deze prijs een prima verblijf: 10 January 2011; 8.4; + Heerlijk gegeten in het eetcafé en een heel vriendelijke receptie en bediening.; - Nadat iedereen gegeten heeft mag er gerookt worden in het eetcafé, een beetje jammer, maar wel begrijpelijk nu er steeds meer gerookt mag worden in café's en de regering niet in staat is om te handhaven.

Guido Schieck Gutes Hotel in perfekter Lage: 22 December 2010; 8.0; + Lage in der Altstadt war perfekt. Personal ist sehr freundlich. Hotel ist sehr verwinkelt was dadurch ein Romantisches Flair bekommt. Falls der Hotelparkplatz voll ausgelastet ist, so kann man am Kanal kostenlos parken von 17 - 10 Uhr Morgens, und von 10 bis 17 Uhr müssen alle 2 Std die Parkkarte gestellt werden.; - Frühstücksbuffet ist etwas spartanisch von der Auswahl her, Jedoch ist Reichlich zu essen da.
