Right in the middle of a park, just on the outskirts of Bruges, is where you will find the Apollo Arthotel. It is only a 5 minute drive from the hotel to the city centre, where there are numerous historic sights, nice shops and good restaurants. The medieval town walls and city gates are also nearby.

Young artists get the opportunity to exhibit their work in the Arthotel. The art works are changed regularly, so you can keep being surprised! You can enjoy a relaxing stay in this pleasant atmosphere. Hotel guests can also make free use of the Leisure Centre, which is equipped with a sauna, fitness equipment and a relaxation area. There is free parking as well!

The luxurious hotel rooms offer modern design with wooden floors and warm colours. Facilities such as air conditioning, minibar, internet and a stylish bathroom are of course to be found in all rooms. The hotel also offers a conference room, which seats a maximum of 90 people. Surroundings

With its canals, monumental buildings and attractive squares, Bruges truly lives up to its nickname the Venice of the North. At night the abundance of lights gives the centre a romantic appearance. There are nice shops around the squares Eiermarkt and Huidenvettersplein. Admire the high (122m) Onze Lieve Vrouwe church and taste the most delicious Belgian chocolate. It will only take you about 5 minutes by car to reach the centre from the Apollo Arthotel Brugge.

Food and Drinks

An extensive breakfast buffet is served daily between 07:00 and 10:00 in the restaurant 'Ter Poele'. Lunch and dinner are also served in this restaurant, where the French cuisine takes centre stage. The chef is inspired by the four seasons and local specialities. In summertime you can also enjoy a meal on the outside terrace. On Sunday it is possible to enjoy an extensive brunch; reservation is recommended. You can also enjoy a drink in the very appealing bar between 10:00 and midnight.

Brilliant hotel

  • – The hotel is a tad tired looking. But that doesn't take away from it being a good hotel. Beds were very comfortable and my family enjoyed their stay.

Overall enjoyable stay, ideal to explore Bruge
  • + Our stay was very comfortable and relaxed. The room was spacious, homely and clean. With the option to relax downstairs at the fire place or by the bar. The food at the restaurant was great, including the breakfast which is a great start to the day. The hotel may be located a bit further away from the centre, but with the cheap taxi service available that is no negative whatsoever.
  • – It wasn't clearly mentioned that the room has 2 single beds as a standard. And to get a double/king bed you needed to upgrade. The room is linked to another room by a door you can lock from each side. Not really a problem, but it is not very sound proof, as if -sound wise- the door is not even there. The sauna floor was not clean, so slippers is a must. When we arrived the reservation papers weren't in order which isn't a problem at all, but it was a shame that the people at the reception desk seemed frustrated when we preferred to have them sorted / changed to the booking we wished for. Overall not very friendly service at the reception.
