Description
The country estate on which Kasteel Engelenburg is located has a long history that probably dates back to the early Middle Ages. The present-day hotel still breathes this history, as well as the atmosphere of the aristocratic families that inhabited this castle in earlier times. All rooms have a private bathroom with a toilet and a shower or bath, a telephone, a television, a minibar and coffee and tea making facilities. The rooms have been decorated with antique furniture and classical, rich fabrics.
You can go for a nice walk around the estate and bicycles are for rent at the reception. On top of that the hotel has its own 9-holes golf course, which was designed by a renowned English golf course architect. The golf course can be used at an additional charge. In addition, the five conference rooms of Kasteel Engelenburg allow for a business meeting in style. These spacious conference rooms breathe the atmosphere of its historic environment, and are equipped with modern audiovisual facilities.
Food and Drinks
On weekdays guests can enjoy the continental breakfast buffet from 07:30 to 10:00 h. and between 08:00 and 11:00 h. during the weekend.
For lunch or dinner guests can visit the tropical restaurant-sunroom. Surrounded by an abundance of plants you can enjoy a beautiful view of the castle moat, the golf course, and the entre estate from this 19th century sunroom. The chef de cuisine prepares refined French dinners with colonial influences. You can enjoy lunch from Monday to Friday from noon to 14:30 h. On Saturday the restaurant is closed for lunch and on Sunday you can have lunch from 13:00 to 14:30 h. Dinner is each day from 18:00 to 21:00 h.
In the classically decorated lounge you can enjoy an English High Tea or an Afternoon Tea. Conoisseurs can also choose from the hotel's excellent collection of single malt whiskeys, or select a good glass wine from the hotel's wine cellar. The bar is open daily from 07:00 h. to midnight.

In the main building guests can use a free Internet computer. All rooms, public areas, and conference rooms are equipped with a free WiFi Internet conenction as well.

The lovely country estate of Kasteel Engelenburg is located in the equally beautiful surroundings of Brummen. Through this area, which is rich in trees, streams the 'IJssel' river. The Hanseatic city Zutphen is only 10 kilometres away from Brummen and the woods of the 'Nationaal Park De Hoge Veluwe' is also just 25 kilometres away. The lovely shopping city Arnhem is 20 kilometres away. Here you can pay a visit to the 'Openluchtmuseum', a museum in open air that gives a good impression of the Dutch and their culture. There are also plenty of great ways to spend your time on the estate itself.
