I had such a wonderful experience. The staff were very kind. There were free hot drinks in the lobby. The location was convenient and the room was very clean and confortable. The walls were sound proof. I really felt I got my money's worth for a change.

During my stay in this hotel most of the time there was an unbearable smell in the room as if the room was in the midle of the septic hole. That smell couldn't dissapear even if the window was open for 12 hours.

If your looking for a hotel only a short walk from the Grand Place, Catherdral of Brussels and other attractions along with nearby transport access, then this hotel is for you. Carrefour is a one of those hotels you dream of finding. Good on Price, Clean and Comfortable in an excellet location. If like me you like to come and go as you please then this hotel is for you. I've read reports saying that the breakfast was poor. All I can say is that whilst I stopped at the hotel, it was very good and lots of it, breakfast is excellent. Highly recommended to all who like convienient and discrete hotels.

For those who wish to be treated like VIPs, then forget the Carrefour - the staff are friendly, helpful and will try their best to help but remember this is not a 5-star hotel. If you want VIP all the way then I suggest you put your hand in your pocket and pay 500-800 euro's a night at one of the bigger and more expensive hotels and see if you get VIP treatment there.

On Saturday and Sunday nobody working at the reception spoke Dutch. This is a scandal in the capital of Belgium. Some Dutch guests could only be helped after interference of other guests.
