If you want an affordable stay in the centre of Brussels, Hotel Barry Brussels is an excellent choice. Just in front of the hotel, on the Anneessensplein, is a statue of Frans Anneessens, a notorious figure from the 17th century during the Brussel riots. It was created in 1889 by the Belgian sculptor Thomas VincotteVictor. The rooms in Hotel Barry are simple but well furnished with good beds, a desk with chair, television, a wake-up service and safe. There is also a bathroom with shower and toilet.

At a 5-five minute walk from the hotel is the entertainment centre with many great bars and chic grand cafes. If you want to use public transport you have enough options, the hotel is close to the metro station Anneessens and the central railway station. Brussels is an excellent place for culture lovers, there are more than 70 museums in this city. Such as the Historical Art Museum with works by Rubens and Hieronymus Bosch. Directly next to the museum is the Museum of Modern Art, here's contemporary works of famous artists like Van Gogh and Matisse.

  • (Travelling alone)
  • + I came very tired as I did travel the last 3 months I had a good rest on arrival and a good sleep night to be fit to take my fly the next day and carry on my travels.
  • nothing

  • (Travelling alone)
okay for short stays
  • + Good location, east to reach and find, very friendly staff, they even let me check in a little earlier. Everything was very clean.
  • The room was pretty small even though it was comfortable and I didn t miss anything. The breakfast was the same every day.
  • (Friends)
good hotelexperience
  • + Good location Good servicedesk Nice hosts 24 hour service Nice beds
  • Noisy people in the hallway in the morning Thin walls, noise goes through the walls Small tv Shower head is broken, had to hold it while showering
  • * my tip Hard rock cafe
  • (Travelling alone)
  • + location - the neighbour fully equipped with take-offs, local stores, near bus station, walking distance to site-viewing, easy to find, kind, flexible and cooperative hotel stuff.
  • there is none really - rooms are more or less "naked" - only necessary equipment, but it can be all find in a breakfast lobby: water heater, coffee machine. Reasonable regarding to a low price in a town center. Skip lack of a glitter.
  • (Travelling alone)
  • The difference in price for the first and the second night was enormous (75-199 Euros) and does not correspond to the confort and quality delivered.
  • (Older couples)
Good location Good price, but new beds are needed.
  • + Right next to Anneessens metro station. Short walk to some good bars and restaurants. 10 min walk to Manneken Pis and Grande Place. Clean hotel with helpful staff.
  • Tiny bathroom and bed mattresses are well passed their use by date! We could actually feel the springs coming through our mattress. Pretty poor.
  • * my tip Several nice eateries near by.
  • (Families with young children)
very cheap but not recommend to others.
  • + very low price
  • noise from the street all night long. No fan No AC. Very few towels in the Bathroom.

Reasonably priced hotel near city center
  • + Close to city center. Freshly renewed. Big bathroom and new furniture. Clean commodity.
  • No elevator. Narrow and steeply stairs.
  • (Friends)
Good rates for quality hotel
  • + Only about a 5-10 minute walk to go the Grand Place. Metro station right outside the hotel.
  • (Travelling alone)
Cheap, clean and friendly and worth another stay.
  • + Close to the station (Brussels Midi 10min walk). You can catctch a train from here to Bruges/Ostend for a shopping trip. Adequate breakfast. It was quiet during my stay. You get what you paid for and yes I would stay here again.
  • No tea making equipment in your room?. Nothing to do with the hotel, but I got ripped off using the local taxis. Watch yourselves.
  • (Travelling alone)
  • We had an early airplane, no hot water at 04:30, no breakfast to go, Should have slept at a the airport.
  • (Young couples)
Nice stay, Nice location.
  • + Nice room and there was free wi-fi in the room. Good location near town.
  • It is near a busy street so there was a bit of traffic noise at night, but it was not too bad.
  • (Travelling alone)
Decent stay in a convenient location
  • + Convenient location, reasonable price, serves its purpose.
  • Nothing serious to complain about. Perhaps a vending machine selling bottled water, soft drinks and/or snacks at night for guests could add value.
  • (Families with young children)
Holiday in Brussel
  • + easy to reach
  • Feeling not very save. I booked two triple room but the hotel only give 1 triple and i double room and when i complaint they told me to be quite or they will ask me to order anaother room because I have 4 kids. I will not stay again in this hotel.
  • (Travelling alone)
Everything is ok for this value!
  • + Hotel got renovation and it's so cool now. Stuff is also friendly and helpfull.
  • It was yet painted and was still smells like new paint. It'll disappear in a couple of days. Rooms are small as predictable.
