Description

Although the name of Hotel Manhattan evokes a place far away from the city centre of Brussels, its guests can walk to the 'Grand Place' of Brussels in just a few minutes. The hotel itself can be easily reached by public transportation. The train station 'Gare du Nord' can be reached within a 2-minutes' walk. The business centre of Brussels is also very close by. The more remote destinations in the city can be easily reached with the metro, for which there is a station very close to the hotel.

The hotel has a classical interior due to the ceiling decorations, chandeliers, warm use of colours, and carpets. The 62 rooms of the hotel are equipped with a shower and a toilet, television, and a telephone with a direct outside line. The rooms are also provided with a desk. The business traveller can arrange meetings in the hotel itself, as the Manhattan Hotel has several conference rooms. There are also rooms that can work as a perfect backdrop for banquets and other types of festivities. The hotel is thus an excellent starting point for tourist activities and a good accommodation for a business trip.

Anonymous Lower class of accommodation, only for sleep through: 12 September 2011; 4.2; + location near center, WIFI, polite and helping receptionist; - very poor accommodation and breakfest, non-functional shower and practically clogged drain from bath, no shower gel or shampoo

David Standard reflects price: 8 December 2008; 5.0; + You get what you pay for with this Hotel. Low price, very basic room, limited hot water and basic breakfast. Location is convenient for metro and Grand Place within walking distance.; - Hot water in shower ran out after about 30 seconds!

Anonymous: 30 September 2007; 4.6; + this hotel is in a very good position for everything we wanted to do in the city.It had the biggest bath i have ever seen in a hotel!; - the legs on the bed were broken so the bed was placed on telephone directories, the curtains were 2 feet shorter than the windows, the breakfast falls far short of continental breakfastsi have had elsewhere and having asked for extra pillows at 11am i was given keys to another room at 8pm to get my own!there weren't any so waited for phone call to go back down to reception again to collect them.The rooms need some care given to them and the hand towels were really past it!

Anonymous Vergane glorie hotel waar de fut uit is!: 3 July 2011; 6.0; + Prachtige ontbijtzaal, art deceaux goede bed matrssen midden in het centrum (alles te bewandelen); - op mijn kamer (nr 104) geen douche-scherm aan het 'bad met douche' op mijn kamer (nr 104) gaf de wastafel-koudwaterkraan slechts een naalddun straaltje (verstopt kraanfiltertje); moest tanden poetsen met heet water. Weinig adequaat optreden na klachtmelding!

Het hotel is in realiteit een oude glorie en geen modern.

Lage prijs, maar ook slechte kwaliteit: 5 October 2008; 5.4; + kamer met een balkon, met uitzicht over Brussel; - - In de ochtend had ik alleen heet water om te douchen of het was ijskoud - Ontbijt werd pas laat geserveerd, en kon dit niet nuttigen, omdat ik anders te laat zou komen op mijn werk - Kamer en bed was jaren 60 stijl met een doorligmatras - Op dit moment krijg ik nog € 20,- van deze mensen tegoed, omdat zij mij geen wisselgeld konden teruggeven en hier maar een fax over moet sturen

Anonymous: 16 June 2008; 5.4; + Het hotel ligt redelijk dicht bij de Grote Markt, maar zeker niet op de 'twee passen' afstand. Zelfs tweehonderd passen lijkt me een optimistische schatting. Maar het is betaalbaar, inderdaad dicht bij metrostation Rogier, ontbijt was prima en de portier erg vriendelijk.; - Zeer gehorig, alles is wel schoon, maar oogt groezelig, rafelig en verwaarloosd. De beloofde typisch Belgische flair zou ik eerder vertalen als typisch Belgische vergane glorie.
