Description
The Romans used to call the Dutch province of Drenthe 'Triënte'. Each hotel room in this farm has its own theme. All rooms are equipped with central heating and television and a private bathroom with shower and toilet. In the renovated sheep fold next to the hotel are 3 apartments, each with its own entrance, living room with open kitchen, telephone, DVD player, television, 2 double bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and toilet and a private terrace.
In the sunny enclosed garden are old trees and a large terrace terrace where you can enjoy a relaxing drink after a long bike ride. The hotel has a lockable, covered bicycle shed and ample parking.
Food and Drinks
The breakfast buffet is served from 08:30 till 09:30 h. In the restaurant you can try one of the delicious fresh regional dishes. The owner is an enthusiastic bee-keeper and you should try his home-made jam or honey.

Surroundings
The area surrounding Hotel Pension Triënte Buinen is ideal for walkers and cyclists. A visit to the 'Boomkroonpad', where you can walk between the tops of the trees is, is also worthwhile. The biggest 'hunebed' (megalithic monument) of the Netherlands is located in the nearby village of Borger. Other interesting sights are the museum Orvelte, the open air museum 'Veenpark', the old fortified town of Bourtange. The area also offers plenty of attractions for children of all ages, such as Goblin land 'Kabouterland', a subtropical water park, an amusement park and the huge playground 'Speelstad Oranje'
