The beautiful island of Ameland is ideal for guests who want to repose, get a breath of fresh air on the beach or go for endless cycling or walking trips on the island. Within a 10 minute walk from the beach you'll find the detached building of Kamerverhuur Metz Buren, of which the upper floor is available for guests. The ground floor is in use by the owners.
Kamerverhuur Metz offers two spacious bedrooms with two single beds. There is also a table with chairs, television, small fridge and washbasin with hot and cold water. The shower and toilet are located in the corridor and are shared with other guests. Outside is a terrace with patio furniture for communal use.
Food and Drinks
The village Buren has a small centre with some shops and restaurants. Here you can have breakfast as well. You can also prepare breakfast yourself in your room, cutlery, crockery and a kettle are available. There is also a small fridge.
For lunch or dinner, there are several good restaurants within a 5 minute walk. The villages Nes, Ballum and Hollum and have fine places to eat as well.

Surroundings
In the nearby village of Nes time seems to have stood still. In the time of whaling people already lived in the little commander homes all over the village. Quite eccentric are the whale jaws that were brought back by the whalers and placed between some of the houses. To learn more from the history of Ameland, is the agricultural and beachcomber museum Swartwoude. If you want to see the island from above, you can climb the 236 steps of the more than 55 meter high lighthouse of Hollum, dating back from 1880.
