Bastion Hotel Bussum is located in the heaths surrounding the area 't Gooi and has many nature reserves around it. Surroundings
Bastion Hotel Bussum is located in a woody area that has a number of beautiful nature reserves. The woods nemed 'Maartendijkse Bos' and 'Bos van Soest,' as well as the nature reserve 'De Utrechtse Heuvelrug' are perfect for a good day trip. Cities like Hilversum, Utrecht, and Amsterdam can be easily reached by car or public transportation.
Food and Drinks
An elaborate breakfast buffet is served during the week between 07:00 and 09:00 and at weekends between 07:00 and 10:30. The atmospheric à la carte restaurant offers a wide choice of international dishes. The restaurant is open from 11:00 until 23:00 for lunch and dinner. It is also possible to order a packed lunch.
Bastion Hotel Bussum has a cosy bar, which is open from 12:00 to 23:30. The hotel also organises a football or film night here every Wednesday evening.

Room and bathroom were tiny, breakfast too expensive. I would still stay again in a heartbeat and recommend to others because of the positive points, but the these things would make the hotel from merely excellent to perfect :)

Would definitely stay again.

Otherwise, the staff was very friendly. Loved the location close to the rail station, and being walking distance from downtown Bussum. Also liked the efficient nature of the room. Just needed a place to bed down for the night, and this room entirely fit my needs and expectations.

Requested a wash cloth from the front desk, but got a response that implied no such thing had existed since the beginning of time. Seemed an odd response, since I had just switched over from the NH Jan Tabak, where wash cloths had been provided.
