- The rooms were very disappointing compared to rest of the hotel. They were dark and unattractive and, although I understand it is a relatively new hotel, the carpets were already looking shabby and there were stains on the ceiling. There was no air conditioning, no mini bar, no fridge, no tea/coffee making facilities, no bath robes, the door locks were broken so we were unable to lock them from the inside. We phoned reception about the locks and someone came up and said he was aware that the locks were broken but didn't seem very bothered. A hotel so close to major roads should have air conditioning so windows can be kept shut. Also when we opened the windows there were very strong smells of sileage and within seconds the room was full of flies, so we had to close the windows. There were also flies in the restaurant when we had breakfast and whilst some of the food was covered not all of it was. Very off putting. We sat on the balcony to eat breakfast and the cleaners were working around us which was also off putting. When I expressed my disappointment to the reception staff on checking out, the man just said the facilities I mentioned were only available in luxury rooms. I pointed out that the price we paid was a "luxury room" price and I have stayed in other hotels in Holland and Belgium with all those facilities at half the price.

- Very good service from staff upon arrival. Excellent location and charming room. Fantastic bar and great breakfast. Staff is very helpful with recommendations of restaurants and directions.
- Internet (fee, cable) did not work for the entire stay and was not handled in a professional manner. The staff should have solved the problem immediately and given me the final solution (wifi card) right away but instead wasted my time. They still then tried to charge me for the 30 min. that I actually could use the internet before checking out.

- This hotel is a beautiful old canal house. Very nicely designed in a great location. For the most part the service is excellent.
- I don't think I'm a true representative as I stayed in a single room that was not very well designed. I paid a lower than usual price via this site, but my room was too small for all of the fittings and every day I had to shuffle things around to get anything done. I did have a peak at another room and it was huge and beautiful. My room was very noisy and one morning a staff member stood at the bottom of the stairs, yelling to his colleague at the top of the stairs - which was highly annoying and totally unprofessional. Also they advertise high-speed internet and make it sound like it's included - it isn't it's expensive. And it's a clunky system - I was better off using another wireless provider as my laptop didn't fit on the desk. For my room, it wasn't worth the price.

- Very comfortable room. Breakfast room needs some 'cheering up'. Very helpful staff. Beautiful location but accessibility difficult. Great shopping and lots of lovely places to eat/drink. Once you have parked, everything is easy!
- Spent ages trying to find the hotel. Didn't realize we had to park and walk. Parking very difficult. Better communication at booking, or even before booking, would be appreciated, to give more details of parking regulations in Bergen Op Zoom, suggested areas to park car, coordinates for GPS, etc.

- Very nice atmosphere in Your hotel, and large and tasty rooms. Friendly employees, with serviceminded attitude.
- Some drinks that we did not have, was put on the restaurant bill. It was corrected during the check-out. There was not a garage for the motorbikes. Though my group was there for the Assen TT, the Hotel was a bit far away from Assen, but in very quiet and peaceful surroundings.

- We booked it on a special deal so stayed there for much cheaper than original pricing, and we felt so lucky because this is truly a luxurious place! The waiters in the restaurant were unbelievable. This is a beautiful place and we felt very spoiled.

- Erg schoon. Bijzonder gebouw,met historie. Flexibel personeel,goede service. Restaurant is van een goede kwaliteit. Kleine dingen zoals koffie/thee facciliteiten, airco en haarfohn geven je een luxe gevoel.
- Ietwat te zakelijk,weinig menselijke aandacht,afstandelijk daardoor.Verder perfect Het drinkwater uit de kraan had een grondlucht en ook de badlakens roken ietwat muf, maar of het hotel hier iets aan kan doen??

- Een paar dagen Meetjesland voor een zeer billijk tarief.
- Restaurant heeft een goede kwaliteit. Ligging van het hotel is prima, van hieruit een goede kennismaking met Meetjesland.
- Bewegwijzering om het hotel is niet bepaald optimaal te noemen. Ze zijn nog met aanpassingen bezig maar deze onderdelen zijn zeer essentieel. Dame (Nederlandse) bij de ontvanst is te routineus en is er zich niet van bewust dat klanten belangrijker zijn dan zijzelf, zij is niet bepaald geschikt voor dit vak. De dame die de volgende dag dienst had maakte echter alles weer goed fris en fruitig en service gericht. De bar kan door een paar kleine veranderingen gezelliger gemaakt worden.
