Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, das Früstücksbuffet sehr üppig. Die Regendusche ist sehr schön. Die Lage ist optimal und die Aufenthaltsräume sind sehr gemütlich.

Die Bodenhygiene könnte deutlich besser sein. Vor allem im Badezimmer.

very nice

Free bar, lots of snacks, slippers etc in bedroom all made it a very pleasant stay where you felt you were in something more personal than a hotel without feeling intruded upon. Breakfast is nice and the staff very friendly.

No restaurant or room service meant you couldn't have an evening in if you had had a busy day at work

Room not as clean as expected, carpet dirty, bathroom floor wasn't washed while we were in room. Breakfast: fruit salad winey, old. Ideal base in Amsterdam

Staff are really helpful and genuinely couldn't do enough for us. Location is perfect and I really have no fault. It was lovely after spending day walking to come back and chill in lounge with a nice glass of wine! It is pricey but I think thats the norm in Amsterdam

We enjoyed the breakfasts. The staff at the front desk were very helpful. Having a free minibar in the rooms is an excellent idea. It was nice to have free drinks, coffee/tea in the lobby after a long day of walking in town. Service at Banks Mansion is quite good.

The fly we noticed on morning enjoying the items on the buffett but when we warned the staff they quickly replaced some of the food. The rooms facing the canal are noisy. If you want quiet rooms, request a room in the back of the building which is what we did after our first night.

Was provided a free upgrade to a "canal" room. Double windows virtually eliminated sound. Great location, within walking distance of major museums. Breakfast was nice (cooked/cold meats, eggs, fruit, cereals). "Free" drinks, TV and internet nice, but not worth high room price. Rooms nicely appointed.

Rooms VERY small (compared to cheaper places like Barbizon Palace or Golden Tulip Centre). Constantly heard neighbor's TV in my bathroom. Hot water went out on the last day - was not offered discount (but did not ask for one). Overall nice place, but not worth the high price. Won't stay here again.

The staff were very friendly, and the room was very stylish. Unlike many hotels we have stayed at, it was very quiet at night when the windows were closed. Breakfast was good and the restaurant never seemed too busy.

The original room we booked was too small but we were offered another larger room with no hassle. The snacks at the self serve bar should be covered up as they are sitting out for hours sometimes.

Complimentary lounge with snacks and beverages were a huge plus. Breakfast also excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, and rooms comfortable. We would definitely stay here again

There is no real restaurant and room service very limited. Also a number of the rooms are smoking rooms and very unpleasant-smelling. Would have liked a room with a bath; most have only showers (albeit extremely comfy ones!)

Very friendly and helpfull staff, excellent food and drink in a nice quite atmosphere. A great location close to the city centre and near the flower market, the view was fantastic from our room though I know not all rooms had this. The free TV channels were great and I will reccomend it to anyone who wants quality, value and proffessional service. We also had steam in the shower which was a great touch and I had a very enjoyable time.

The taxi to the airport was ordered by the hotel and this was late, this could have caused us to miss our flight. It would have been nice to have a wider selection of drinks and snacks in the room.

We absolutely loved the free drinks, coffee, juices, pastries, chocolates, nibbles, the open fire.....it was a very nice touch and made us feel very much at home (even better than home!) This was a present for my husband and it was wonderful - our heartfelt thanks to the hotel staff! We will definitely be back and also will be recommending this hotel to all our friends. No concierge - a definite plus point in my opinion as it added to the hotel's cosyness and homely feel.

Sorry, I don't really want to give any minus points... - The hotel was a little bit expensive (but we made up a bit with the drinks!) - The rooms were a bit small (and we had deluxe)

Reception were pleased to tell us we had been given a large room, but it was no larger than I would expect from a Travel Inn or similar and with only one small window, the room was dark.

No free internet access. For the price I would have expected this, even though there are computers in the lounge area. A minor issue is the lack of a kettle/coffee in the room. I prefer this for early morning, before a shower and breakfast.

I hesitate to give this hotel the fabulous review it deserves because if everyone starts going there, I won't be able to get a room! Their unique "everything included" concept is a great idea, and the staff goes out of their way to be helpful. The free breakfast offers a multitude of both hot and cold options, including made-to-order pancakes and omelets. And it's wonderful to come back from a long day and unwind in the lobby in a comfy chair in front of the fireplace with a Bailey's on the rocks, gratis of the complimentary bar. Or you can take your drink to a desk and check your email. It's perfection! I love this hotel -- please stay away!
