Kurt en Aline Je betaalt de locatie van het hotel en absoluut niet het comfort ervan: 4 Juni 2011; 4.4; + locatie is ideaal als uitvalspunt om de stad te bezoeken; gelegen midden de drukke Damrak; tussen Station en de Dam.; - Kamer net groot genoeg voor 1 dubbel bed; geen uitzicht behalve binnenkijken op andere kamers; badkamer was privé maar je moest wel de gang over; smalle trap naar kamers en gelegen boven frituur (met nodige geur) wat toch wel beangstigend is als je denkt aan brand; netheid kon beter; erg lawaaierig; ideaal voor 1 overnachting (type doorreis) maar dan wel veel te duur!!

C from the U.S. Cheap crash pad in amsterdam with good location, but not cleanest ever: 16 Oktober 2010; 6.2; + Good location, its located on a main street and less than 5 minutes walking distance to the red light district.; - Stairs make it not accessible for old, disabled, those with kids, or if you have a lot of luggage (its so steep we called it our tree house hotel). Not the cleanest hotel but what could you expect for 69 euro in amsterdam. If you're driving parking will be a pain since you have to park on the street or in a parking garage thats 50 euro a day!

M. Moors Prima hotel voor één overnachting: 25 Mai 2010; 7.4; + Perfecte locatie aan het Damrak, in het centrum en dicht bij het station. Wij hadden aan de voorkant prachtig uitzicht op de beurs van Berlage en alle mensen, leuk om in de vensterbank te zitten kijken. Schone kamer, fris beddengoed en schone badkamer. Bagage kun je in de luggage-room stallen.; - Niet alle matrassen lagen fijn (wij hadden een 6-persoonskamer, met 2 stapelbedden en 2 gewone bedden), douchekop kon niet opgehangen worden, entree van hotel is niet erg uitnodigend.

Bed was comfortable.; - The stairs were very steep like a ladder. Not child friendly. Would not stay agian there unless I was in Amsterdam without children.

Anonym Never again!: 26 April 2010; 3.0; + Location (but that is the only plus-thing I can think of); - Never got a welcome or a goodbye. Staff never smiled. Stood several minutes 30 cm in front of the receptionist before she even bother to look at me. No help with luggage. Toiletpaper in stairs. VERY DIRTY rooms! Showerwater ran into the hotelroom. Almost no lights in room. When people walked in the corridore outside our room, it was like they walked in our room. It all was ended with the worst service ever, as i asked to urgently use a toilet when picking up our luggage. Got one word back: "No". Will never recommend this to anyone, and certainly NEVER come back. PS! The photos of the rooms were probably taken 20 years ago!

Jen Allocated hostel room with bunkbeds instead of double room: 1 September 2009; 6.4; + Very friendly staff. Clean towels and sheets.; - We'd booked a double room. When we got there we were allocated room 25, which had 3 bunk beds and a single bed in it and looked out over the Damrak, thus being incredibly noisy. Seeing as we'd booked a hotel and not a hostel we went back to reception and asked for another room. They were very helpful though and allocated us room 23 instead. Still 3 single beds and no double but this was more a hotel room than a hostel dormitory. The shower head had come off though so we had to hold it above our heads ourselves.

Desiree Karsten Twee dagen kan nog maar langer niet!: 31 Mai 2009; 5.8; + De ligging is perfect als je veel dingen in de stad wil zien en doen. Daarbij met de tram voor de deur kun je in heel Amsterdam terecht. Ze maken goed schoon.; - De foto's zijn niet zo recent, het is er heel laag dus je moet niet langer zijn dan 1,95 want dan kan je niet staan in je kamer! Tevens spreken ze geen Nederlands, en als je wilt douchen maak je van het badkamertje een zwembad!

Karen Kay A bit disappointing: 28 Mai 2009; 5.4; + Good location; - When we checked in they sent us to their 'sister' hotel the Orange Tulip, which was just down the road. It was not what we booked and had bunk beds and a shower that you had to sweep the water down the drain while you were in, i.e. it had a big long squeedgy sweeper that you had to sweep the shower water so it didn't go into the room, funny stuff but a bit disappointing.

Any G A great place to stay: 26 Mai 2009; 8.8; + The single room I asked for was fantastic. It was very clean and minimally decorated. The bathroom smelled of bleach which reassured me that it was clean and hygienic. The room was also very quiet despite the hotel being in a very busy area. I really really enjoyed my time at Damrak Inn Hotel and will definitely come again.; - Very few minus points. The corridors were a little too hot. People sometimes stood in front of the hotel door eating chips which was not great.

Gary Hansen Clerk said internet worked sometime and sometimes not: 17 Mai 2009; 4.6; + none; - Hotel was filthy when we arrived. Desk clerk could have cared less we were there or not. Hotel advertised internet, but it didn't work so we cancelled room. Clerk just blew it off.

Very overpriced for the quality of the room. Couldn't log on to the internet. Can find a much better deal in Amsterdam. Would classify it as a low class Hostel, not a 2 star hotel
