+ Sehr gute Lage man kann alles zu Fuss erreichen das Hotel befindet sich mitten im Rotlichtviertel. Wenn man ein Hotel nur zum Übernachten sucht und keine hohen Ansprüche hat kann ich dieses Hotel weiterempfehlen

- Zimmer wurden während 5 Tagen nie gereinigt. Bad / WC wurde während dieser Zeit ebenfalls nicht gereingt obwohl dies von 4 Zimmern gemeinsam genutzt wurde

+ The hotel is situated in the red light district which is between Central Station and Dam square. I booked a single room (they gave me a twin) which was clean, warm and basic with washing facilities, a shower and toilet were just outside my room. Breakfast was very english and tasty and as much as you like served between 9.30 - 10.30.

- None really as i was satisfied with what I had paid for, just 45.00 euro B & B , good value for a city centre hotel.

+ We were surprised in a positive way. We stayed for a weekend and had a 3 bed private room with toilet and shower in the hall. The room was quite simple but bigger than expected. The toilets and showers seemed relatively new and were clean and descent. Linen and towels were included, so you don't have to bring that (they don't mension that anywhere). The hotel is situated in the red light district right beside a striptease club and across from the sex museum, but we didn't feel unsafe at any time, there was always a lot of people around having a good time, and it's only a 5 min walk to Dam square. There was a 24 hour reception consisting of a bar on the ground floor which was actually quite cosy, and the staff were polite and helpful. There was a breakfast buffet from 9 to 10. It wasn't the best breakfast but it was convenient that we didn't have to go out to get a quick bite to eat when we were hungover.

- The biggest minus is the noise (in the weekend anyway, don't know about monday to thursday). There is a lot of noise from the street all day and most of the night, probably until around 4 or 5 in the morning. The hotel is very exposed to the noise from the street and from other rooms so it is not a bad idea to bring earplugs. All in all I would definitely stay here again if I went to Amsterdam with friends and we were on a budget.

+ erg goedkoop, en daardoor mag het ook wel een beetje chaotisch overkomen. wc en douche was buiten de kamer, maar dat was niet zo erg voor 1 nachtje. het was in de nacht best wel rustig, dus het slapen ging OK.

- het is midden in de rossige buurt, dus niet zo geschikt voor kinderen. verder alles hygienisch, daar viel niets van te zeggen.

+ If you want to see the Red Light District, the location is perfect, therefor the price is ok. (80e for 1 night) Staff was fine :). When I booked the hotel (2 weeks in advance), I paid online. When I arrived at the hotel, the receptionist asked me to pay for the room, and I did.. I don't know why she asked me, and I don't know why I paid. A couple hours after I left the next day, I realised I paid twice. When I got home I sent them an email about it asking for a refund. 1 and a half week later (after I called again) I checked my bank account and I saw the money was booked back into my account. Phew! Thank you very much! Hotel room is basic, 2 single beds, small cabinet for clothing, small refridgerator and a sink. Toilets and shower were in the hallway. There was a dried up stain on the rooms floor, other than that, it was clean. The toilets were nice and clean. All and all: I'd definitely recommend this hotel if you want this location.

- The stairs are cheap, and very narrow, hard if you have a big bag/suitcase. If you want to see the Red Light District, the location is perfect, therefor the price is ok. (80e for 1 night)

+ Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast with bacon, omelet, sausages, beans, mushrooms, white and brown bread, coffee, orange juice, butter, sugar, milk, marmalade, tea (I hope I not forgot anything). Refrigerator in the room. Got my own toilet. Room is big. My best recommendations in the categorie!

- Steep stairs. No problem for me, but maybe for them who have problem with that. But almost every cheap hotels have only steep stairs, so this issue is only a problem for those who can't do with stairs :) Found a half full bear in the refrigerator. Not mine :(

+ Location is unbeatable, if you want to literally be in the middle of the red light district. Very interesting and culturally appropriate for location and getting true sense of RLD. XXX, indeed. Hotel in middle of everything, but once in the room, quiet and peaceful for sleep (but who really wants to sleep in Amsterdam?) Great place for 1-star. Bartender/owner/manager was very friendly, helpful and funny. Good times!

- Not the most luxurious, but again, you get what you pay for and you couldnt ask for better location of being in the middle of all the "action". Fun times!

+ Fun, friendly organized staff, clean, awesome location for a good night out in the Red Light District. Bar in lobby, great breakfast included, great price, very good security. I had a blast here and would rec it to anyone who is looking for some fun.

- A little loud... but come on, they ARE in the middle of the Red Light... this is the place for people looking to have a good time, not looking for R&R! I was there on a weeknight and imagine the weekend could be more crazy, but it is what it is, and worth it!

+ As of March 2011 they have a hot British style breakfast: scrambled eggs, mushrooms, sausage, rashers, beans, toast etc ...good stuff! There is a small refrigerator in each room to store all your cheese and Chocomel during your stay... ;-}

- Due to location there can be considerable street noise at night - hint: ear plugs! Also note that your fellow hotel guests' party agenda may be excessively different then your own - hint: ear plugs! ;-}

+ the staff were really friendly and good fun the girl behind the bar (beth i think) sorry terrible with names but she pours the best PINT in amsterdam. nice clean kitchen didnt manage many breakfasts but when i did it was really nice, so were the ladies. had the pleasure of the owners company through the nite in the bar and as he is a very nice man it just made my stay extra special. just want to say a big thankyou to everyone who works in this hotel you were all very friendly and i will definatly see you again soon.

- the barmans singing!!! (sorry mate but i could of kept my earplugs in all day lol)

+ you cant look out the window without seeing a red light or a coffe shop so location is very good. the staff are freindly and funny if you know how to take them. the hotel bar is open 24 hours and is not bad priced considering the location. rooms was very clean and had fresh towls every day.

- room was freezing but was right on top floor. the read up says your allowed to smoke spliffs in the bar but this is only after 1 in the morning when it closes to the public. the owner can go on abit when he is drunk but he's a good laugh and sorted out a couple of free beers.

+ Staff is 11/10. for Starters I got there around 9 in morning and they let me ckeck in early to shower and take a nap. next morning i got a 2 eggs, bacon, sausage toast juice and coffee for FREEEEEE. Great value and Bar is open 24 hours for guests. Going back and staying there again. Great value

+ excellent place to stay real friendly staff, and very helpful. the rooms are clann and tidy with a sink in the room. /the shower and toliet are very clean and plenty of space. As i spend a lot of time staying in hotel, this was a pleasent suprise and you will agree with me if you stay here. great location and safe for female travellers.
