Silver Museum Castle Sterckshof
The Silvermuseum is located in Castle Sterckshof, in Deurne near Antwerp. The museum was named after the sixteenth century merchant Gerard Sterck who was a counsellor of Charles V. The castle with its red brick towers, courtyards and moat gives a good picture of how a country house in the sixteenth century looked. The museum has a magnificent collection of silver and tin and some days you can see a silversmith at work.
