Brussels
In all seasons the vibrant city of Brussels is a wonderful place to visit. There is lots to see when you stroll through the narrow streets in the ancient city centre, one of the highlights is the magnificent Grand Place. Around the square are the imposing Town Hall, the Maison du Roi and various beautiful guild houses. The world famous statue of a peeying boy, Manneken Pis, is one of the symbols of Brussels and at major events he gets to wear one of his many costumes.
Shoppers can indulge in the Avenue Louise and Rue Neuve, at the Sablon antiques market and Brussels flea market. Art lovers can visit the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium, a collective of several museums. Together they possess around twenty thousand paintings, drawings and sculptures. Brussels has a lively night life and eating out is a treat. The city has numerous cafés, terraces and restaurants where you can go for a delicious meal. A visit to one of the many chocolate shops is also recommended.
