Drenthe
Drenthe is one of the most forested provinces of the Netherlands. Miles of hiking trails and bicycle paths were laid out for sporty visitors in this green province in the northeast of the country. It is an ideal place to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. There are three national parks in Drenthe: Nationaal Park Drents-Friese Wold, Nationaal Park Dwingelderveld and Nationaal Park beek- en esdorpenlandschap Drentsche Aa.
The presence of 52 megalithic graves, scattered across the entire province, is evidence that Drenthe is one of the oldest inhabited areas of the Netherlands. Assen is the capital of this sparsely populated province of the Netherlands. Former villages such as Emmen and Hoogeveen have become larger towns with a lot of activity. You can spend an enjoyable day with the children in the popular and beautiful zoo Dierenpark in Emmen.
