+ The plus point was the shuttle bus every 15.min to the airport and back to the hotel. The Hotel is close to the airport.

- It is too far away from Amsterdam center, so it is kind of annoying going every day with train to the center of Amsterdam and back.

+ The receptionists where very kind and helpful. The location is very good for families: a McDonald's right across the parking space and the hotel also has childfriendly items on their menu. And of course the swimmingpool. No disturbance from airplane and car noises. the rooms have their own airconditioning controlpanel, which is very practical.

- The bathroom seems to need some renewing with a leakage and the bathtub that doesn't seem to stay into place much longer. We were there with two adults, one child, but room seemed to be prepared for only one person looking at the few towels and coffee items.

+ Kostenloser Shuttlebus. War der voll, wurde ein weiterer geordert bzw. ein Taxi bezahlt. Kostenloser Internet-PC in der Eingangshalle. Konnten extrem gut schlafen. Waren sehr zufrieden.

- Lage außerhalb der Stadt, aber das war natürlich vorher bekannt.

+ If you can avail yourself of the refurbished rooms then it will make your stay more comfortable. Free internet works quite well, and the shuttle service as well.

- Staff for the most part too direct to the point of being confrontational. One must ask how to turn on heat in room and one must ask for remote control for TV at front desk (but this not explained at check-in). No hand soap in bathroom to wash hands.

+ Great shuttle service, never had to wait too long. Easy access to and from the airport and train station to central Amsterdam. The room was clean and modern. Hotel staff answered any questions and were pleasant.

- When describing how to get to the hotel from the airport, the instructions where good until you got off the bus at the bus stop and didnt know where to go from there. maybe just add a line that says walk towards the McDonalds and the hotel is behind it.

+ Very reasonable price for proximity to Schiphol (airport and train station), clean, comfortable, free shuttle, pool

- Unreliable shuttle -- van was too small and twice in 24-hours we had to wait another half-hour because it was full; another time we waited an hour because the scheduled shuttle just didn't show up. This almost ruined a day of touring because we wasted so much time and missed train connections. Didn't appreciate driver "joke" ("You could ride a bike?") Streetside room was rather noisy from freeway and occasional airplanes.

- I had a noisy room on first floor, w/o view. I couldn't manage to use the looker. Hotel would take benefit to have renovation. Not really a 4 start hotel.

- dissapointing to find restaurant shut on a saturday, girl in charge said we could eat in lobby, not ideal for a romantic night out! When asked why it was not open she said it was shut because it was shut! ( very helpful!)

- 1. Dissapointed with the free wireless internet facilties in the room because the connection was very poor and was not able to access the internet at all. More computers with internet connection should be provided at the lobby area. 2. Room facilities of complimentary coffee and tea was not provided.

+ Food, Service and people where very good. Could smoke in hotel which was a plus for me. Food and beer was ok priced.

- The only minus point was that the breakfast was well over priced. I recomend you stay at the hotel but don't pay extra for the breakfast.

+ We stayed here because we had a flight at 6:45am from Schiphol Airport. The staff is very friendly and they helped us get a taxi to the airport. There is also a bar where we had a drink the night before. The hotel looks moderately luxurious. Apart from our comforters (see below), the hotel is clean, the rooms are quiet, the curtains are thick, so we had a good night sleep.

- To our surprise, the brown comforter on our bed had mysterious white stains on it. We were so disgusted by this that we decided to throw it on the floor. In terms of location, this hotel is not that convenient if you have to fly very early in the morning or plan to come in very late at night. The shuttle bus runs from approx. 6am until midnight, so we had to take a taxi. The taxi ride is about 15 euros. This is something to take into account when choosing a hotel in the airport area. Also, there is no breakfast at this early time, but given that breakfast comes at another 13.50 euros per person, we would have chosen not to have breakfast at the hotel anyway.

+ Rooms are clean and comfortable. Shuttle bus is quick and easy. A Smokers Lounge is very welcome.

- Very slow check in and check-out due to understaffing, which is very annoying for tired travellers and those who need to leave in a hurry. No one around to welcome me to the restaurant, and, after 15 minutes waiting i went and got the menu myself. General impression is that there are very limited staff to save the hotel money and so service is poor when it should be great!

- The pick-up bus stopped about 20-30 metres away from the bus shelter A9-13 (under the bridge). As a result a group of us waited nearly an hour for the next bus, which was quickly filled up & the remainder used the bus under the bridge. The bus drivers should be instructed to stop or move to the A9-13 bus shelter as soon as space becomes available.

- My room (2321) was a non smoking room, but seemed to get a direct vent from the smoker's lounge downstairs. It seemed to clear when I plugged the bathroom vent with paper. Disgusting! Unlike other Best Western's I've stayed at, the breakfast buffet was not complimentary, but quite expensive.

- Cost. I reserved a room for 95 euros and by the time I'd added the buffet breakfst, the price doubled.

+ Excellent shuttle service to the airport - frequent trips and the drivers were cheerful and helpful. It's very near a major airport, yet it was quiet enough for a good night's sleep.

- A minor thing : no garbage can in lobby or near front steps - had to ask desk staff to dispose of a banana peel !

+ After learning the shuttle system (with absolutely no guidance from the staff) we appreciated the ability to go back and forth to Schiphol to connect with the train system.

- The staff was absolutely unfriendly and not helpful in any way except on our return stay dated May 28-30 when the young lady serving the breakfast went out of her way to greet guests and offer fried eggs/bacon/cheese. Of ALL the staff we had contact with, she had the ready smile and firiendly, professional approach appropriate for hotel staff. One evening we used the bag of chips (1 euro), which was not replaced for the following evening. Then we were charged for a bottle of water from the mini-bar while I had brought my own bottle! Also poor replacement of products such as soap, plastic disposable cups.

- I gave comfort a low mark because the room was FREEZING all night. The heater (hot water heater) came on for a very short time, but was shut down all night. it came back again early in the morning. As an Air conditiong, heating and cooling Engineer with 35 yeares of experience, I can say that the temperature control in the room is very poor. I hope next time I stay there it would be better. Thank you

+ Lovely pool, sauna, and workout room. Clean, comfortable room.

- With the exception of the restaurant worker, the evening staff on May 4, 2010 was a bit rude and innattentive. The desk clerk actually turned her back on me when I approached the desk for the second time that evening. The morning crew (May 5) was wonderful as was the shuttle service crew.

- Als je een varkenshaasje nog niet eens smakelijk op tafel kunt zetten , sluit dan a.u.b. het restaurant. Het restaurant is nog steeds een aanfluiting!!
