Das Affiliate-System

Hotels.nl has been active on the Dutch hotel market since November 2001. We momentarily provide reservations for more than 1750 hotels in the Netherlands and Belgium. These hotels can only be booked online. We do not work on request. This results in a very low percentage of cancellations. Hotels.nl provides a system through which hotels are able to change their commission rates themselves. Hotel owners can lower or raise their commission in order to receive a better ranking in the results list. This means that in some cases the booking commission can reach up to 15%. Ultimately, for our affiliates, who receive a standard commission of up to 45%, it means they could receive up to 7% of the total amount booked as their affiliate fee.

Hotels.nl produces a script, which places a non expiring cookie on the customer's hard disk, which subsequently sends your customer to the page of your choice. The big advantage of this system is that if the customer you have sent through to Hotels.nl returns for instance 3 months later, to make another booking, you will receive commission again from Hotels.nl.

Full XML - PHP integration into your website

Hotels.nl offers you a unique PHP & XML link system so you can fully integrate the Hotels.nl database into your own website. You can alter and adapt these files, without limitation, into your own house style in order to obtain an optimum integration.

• Click here for an example of a search form This is a 5.5 kb PHP file. By means of XML it places the names of the cities in which hotels, bookable through Hotels.nl, in a search list.
• Click here for an example of search results This is a 4.0 kb PHP file. By means of the parameters which are sent to the file, it builds an availability page. This PHP file makes a connection to the Hotels.nl server through XML, collects the current data there and subsequently shows this on your web page. This file also writes a cookie that remembers the parameters that were entered. This cookie will be used by the next script.
• Click here for an example of a hotel page This is a 6.7 kb PHP file. It builds a hotel page with the hotel's details and the current room details.The PHP script looks at the cookie, which has been placed on your customer's computer by the searchav file and it uses the data to build a hotel page. The moment you enter any new dates, for instance in the search form, it will mean that the hotel pages you download with this file, will also change.

Commission

Hotels.nl pays her affiliates 40% of the commission invoiced by Hotels.nl. When you realise more than 100 bookings a month through Hotels.nl, (actual stayed bookings in the month that is being invoiced), the commission will be raised to 45%. Hotels.nl does not distinguish between "private label" and "Hotels.nl label" affiliates.
