On your way to Texel the boat trip will already provide you with a sense of freedom. The fresh sea breeze and the seagulls will welcome you on the island. On the dunes of the national reserve De Duinen lies the hospitable Grand Hotel Opduin which is just 200 metres from the North Sea beach.
In the hotel and its surroundings you can choose from a range of activities, for either an active or a relaxing stay. The use of the indoor swimming pool and the tennis court is included for hotel guests and at an additional charge you can use the Finnish sauna, the Turkish steam bath and a fitness room. In the hotel there are two restaurants and on sunny days you can sit on one of the outside terraces. The breakfast buffet is available from 08:00 to 10:30h.
The à la carte restaurant De Heeren XVII offers savoury dishes with seafood and meat and it has a good selection of wines. You can also take a seat near the fireplace in the bar.
In the tastefully decorated brasserie De Franse Slag the staff serve uncomplicated dishes.
