This impressive castle has several wall and ceiling paintings. The city of Utrecht is known for its 'Dom' tower and its beautiful canals.

Food and Drinks

An extensive breakfast buffet is served on Monday through Friday between 07:00 and 10:00 h. and from 07:00 to 10:30 h. on the weekend. Dinner and lunch can be served both in the restaurant and the sun room. In the cosy hotel bar one can enjoy a drink and a bite to eat. The bar is open between 17:00 and 01:00 h. Children can choose something from the children's menu. Colouring pictures and crayons are also available. Every sunday the hotel offers a lively family brunch.

Efficient hotel for staying east of Utrecht with moderate quality

Good location and parking.

Hotel rooms are outside building with reception and breakfast facilities. Front office wants to know all about guest's identity if booked over Hotels.nl. Front desk officer asked double photo identity card (passport + drivers licence or other photo identity card) and credit card (American Express).

Excellent and friendly reception in the evening.Large room and bathroom, good beds. Very nice supper.

(too)long walk to the room from the entrance.Had to search for staff to pay supper! The wake-up call did not happen! Noisy from traffic at night.Poor shower, needs renovation. The arrival of the taxi that I had ordered was not announced to me because they did not check, so I have been waiting while he was waiting aswell.So, overall bad organisation of service I think, allthough friendly and googwilling staff.

Nice but noisy

Nice, clean, spacious room and bathroom. Good selection at breakfast.

Traffic noise is very loud. Coffee and tea making facilities would be appreciated. Its quite a way to walk from the reception to the rooms, with several stairs up and down, so it is quite difficult with suitcases.

De lokatie is gunstig maar alleen een overweging indien de prijs veel lager zou zijn.

De kwaliteit van de bedden is niet goed want ze zakken door. Een goed bed is essentieel voor behoorlijke prijs. Daarom zal ik hier niet terugkomen. Behalve de nieuwe vloerbedekking is de kamer erg toe aan een opknapbeurt voor zowel de badkamer als de bedden. De vloer is de douchekabine is spiegelglad.

The service by staff was excellent. The swimming pool was very effective for a hotel. The food was of an excellent quality. The location was really pleasant.

Bed sheets not changed over the period of a three night stay during a time of unseasonally hot weather. The bedhead radio did not work.We stayed in room 333 again from 21/24th July.It still had the same notice stating that it did not work.

Super weekend gehad ! Van der valk ga ik volgend jaar weer heen !

we waren met zn 4en als jongeren de enige in het hotel volgens mij die daar voor niet zakelijke reden waren... soms waren we lastig, maar Willem de nachtportier was super , het schoonmaakpersoneel was super, Eric achter de bar was super... Roomservice was super! De ligging is prachtig... lekker ieder zn mini tuintje

Genieten

Met 2 opgroeiende zonen wordt het erg duur in een hotel te verblijven. We hebben nu met 4 personen op 1 ruime kamer kunnen liggen. Dat maakte het voor ons interessant. Bovendien is de ligging t.o.v. de stad Utrecht zeer gunstig.

Het ontbijt is aan de prijzige kant. Hebben we dan ook niet bij Uw hotel genomen.

Ontbijt was goed.

Slechte bedden,(het was de bedoeling hier nog een klacht over in te dienen) en de familiekamer is niet meer van deze tijd. We hadden bewust gekozen voor een Van der Valk" hotel", om een keer van luxe te kunnen genieten met onze kinderen.(25-jarig huwelijk)Dit viel ons erg tegen.We hadden voor minder geld elders een kamer kunnen boeken, met dezelfde faciliteiten.

1. de voorkeur voor rookvrije kamer was niet goed doorgekomen met het gevolg dat wij dus een rookkamer hadden!!! Echt HEEEEEEEEEEEEL vies!! Natuurlijk zijn er altijd nw lakens en slopen maar de nicotine lucht zit in het kussen en als je dan wil gaan slapen is het echt te vies voor worden. 2.ik vind het jammer dat we voor kleine kinderen (want wat eten die nu uiteindelijk)de volle prijs voor het ontbjit moeten betalen!

aardig personeel, prima diner en ontbijt

Wij hadden geboekt met vermelding: vdvalk visa hotel voordeel (verplicht). Wij hadden het gevoel, dat bij dit soort boeking dan een ander kamer gereserveerd wordt dan bij een gewone reservering. De kamer lag het verst van de receptie, de wc (vrijhangend) was veel te laag geplaatst en een likje verf hier en daar is geen overbodige luxe. Ik ben andere kwaliteit gewend bij vd valk.
