Van der Valk de Biltsche Hoek has rooms that are equipped with a bath and toilet, television and a safe. Rooms on the ground floor have an outside terrace and rooms on the first floor have a balcony. Hotel guests can make free use of the heated indoor swimming pool. There is a gift shop in the hotel as well, which offers chocolates, magazines and other items. In the hotel there are 15 multifunctional conference rooms. The hotel also has a cosy bar, restaurant, a sun room and an outside terrace.

De Bilt is known in the Netherlands for the presence of the 'KNMI', the Royal Dutch Meteorological Institute. Near De Bilt you can find Zeist and Utrecht, both cities can be easily reached from the hotel. At the reception one can rent a bicycle. In Zeist a visit to the castle 'Slot Zeist' is recommended. This impressive castle has several wall and ceiling paintings. The city of Utrecht is known for its 'Dom' tower and its beautiful canals.

Food and Drinks

An extensive breakfast buffet is served on Monday through Friday between 07:00 and 10:00 h. and from 07:00 to 10:30 h. on the weekend. Dinner and lunch can be served both in the restaurant and the sun room. In the cosy hotel bar one can enjoy a drink and a bite to eat. The bar is open between 17:00 and 01:00 h. Children can choose something from the children's menu. Colouring pictures and crayons are also available. Every sunday the hotel offers a lively family brunch.

Suzanne De Biltsche Hoek: comfortable and convenient location: 31 March 2011; 8.4; + We have been staying at hotel De Biltsche Hoek several times as it iis very near to my mother's care home and we have always found it very comfortable with a good self service breakfast bar. This time we also had an evening meal in the restaurant which was excellent followed by a drink in the very comfortable bar. The staff was very attentive and courteous.; - The shower cubicle in our bathroom had a broken hinge making the door difficult to open and the plughole was blocked. We felt this time that the room and the corridors looked a bit shabby and in need of refurbishment.

Een goed bed is essentieel voor behoorlijke prijs. Daarom zal ik hier niet terugkomen. Behalve de nieuwe vloerbedekking is de kamer erg toe aan een opknapbeurt voor zowel de badkamer als de bedden. De vloer is de douchekabine is spiegelglad.

In principe niet zo erg, kan gebeuren. Wij kregen direct een andere kamer aangeboden. Echter de volgende dag werden we opgebeld met een klacht, dat we de kamer zo slecht hadden achterlaten door de gordijnen van het plafond af te trekken. Absoluut onbeschofte manier van handelen.

Miranda Blokzijl Mooi hotel met vriendelijk personeel! 1 gedeelte verouderd.: 14 November 2011; 7.2; + Erg vriendelijk personeel. We zijn in de buurt wezen stappen en kwamen midden in de nacht weer terug in het hotel. Bij aankomst heb ik gevraagd of dit een probleem was en ze waren erg vriendelijk om te vertellen hoe het 's nachts gaat met de portier de sleutel enz. Erg fijn! De portier wist hier ook vanaf en kwam ons meteen halen bij de deur. TOP!; - In het gedeelte waar wij zaten was het wat verouderd. De kamer was erg koud maar hebben we ook doorgegeven bij de receptie en hier zouden ze naar kijken. De douche is echt helemaal niks! Ik moest mijn ogen dichthouden omdat het zo erg spetterde. De douchekop kon je er niet afhalen en het was steeds draaien aan de knoppen om de juiste temperatuur te houden. En dan heb ik het al niet eens over het aanzetten van de douche. 2 knoppen (warm en koud apart) aan de achterkant. Snel allebei aandoen en deur dicht omdat anders alles nat is... en wachten op warm water (eerst alleen de hete is geen optie omdat je dan met je handen onder de hete douche moet om de koude aan te zetten). Deurtje weer open.. en snel eronder. Oogjes dicht... snel douchen en heel snel de knoppen tegelijk weer dichtdraaien!!!. Dan heel snel je handdoek pakken en afdrogen anders krijg je het koud brrr..
