Hotel de Koophandel is a 3-star hotel that is established in a characteristic historic building. From behind the stained glass windows, through the sun blinds, you have a beautiful view on the Beestenmarkt. In 1591 this building was the birthplace of Reynier Jansz, the father of the world-famous painter Johannes Vermeer.
The rooms are all equipped with a bathroom with a shower and toilet, a telephone, television, coffee and tea making facilities and a wireless Internet connection. There are various seatings in the public areas of the hotel, where guests can relax and read some magazines. The vending machine provides cool beverages. The staff of Hotel de Koophandel will do their utmost to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

A lovely stroll on the beach of Scheveningen can easily be accomplished as well.

*my tipLots of restaurant choices in the area. The Mexican restaurant on the same square as the hotel is fun and offers good food and friendly service for reasonable prices. Across the square is a pub/cafe with world famous (in Delft, anyway) apple pie.

Spacious room

Loved the clean and spacious room with lots of windows. A rare find was a kettle to boil water with all the necessary equipment in the room to make tea which I really enjoyed.

Distance from the train station as I had heavy luggage.

A pleasant and convenient budget hotel in the centre of Delft
+
Excellent friendly hotel situated in the Beestenmarkt square in the centre of Delft. Reception very welcoming. Within walking distance of restaurants and museums in Delft and walkable for most people from the railway station. A nice breakfast in a pleasant breakfast room. Reasonably priced.
–
Some rooms are a bit small but OK. One flight of stairs is rather steep. Loft rooms have Velux windows so view outside is a bit restricted.

The perfect hotel.

The hotel was perfect for our stay in the Netherlands. We were able to travel to Gouda and The Hague with ease. The staff was most helpful and friendly. I have recommended this hotel to an acquaintence in the US State Department. It was an ideal town for our needs.

Weather was a bit hot on one night and it was hot in the room, but there was a fan, so not too bad.

I like that hotel despite some cons and its price
+
Hotel location is fenomenal.
–
No car park and even hard to drop your luggage as I was cruising around the hotel for 30 min being not able to reach its doors. GPS was useless as some streets were closed.
Parked elsewhere illegally (only 100m away) and walked to check in and get instructions where to park.
