Since mid-2008, The Hague's Chinatown is enriched with a true eye-catcher. After more than three years of construction Hotel Wahdo has opened its doors. This exclusive hotel is completely decorated in traditional Chinese style and has an excellent Chinese restaurant, twenty comfortable hotel rooms and a real Chinese roof garden. A stay in this hotel will certainly make up for a unique experience.

The 3-star Hotel Wahto is an ideal base for exploring the city of The Hague. The central train station is only a 10-minute walk away and the city centre with its lovely buildings and nice shopping streets is even closer. After a busy day in this distinquished town, the hotel offers you comfort and convenience. The rooms are all provided with a private bathroom with a shower, toilet and hair dryer. In addition, they are equipped with a television, air conditioning, safe, free access to wireless Internet and a terrace or balcony. The executive rooms have coffee and tea making facilities and a telephone as well.

Food and Drinks

The breakfast buffet is set up on weekdays between 08:00 and 10:00 h. and on weekends between 09:00 and 10:30 h.
Restaurant Long Ting offers high quality traditional Chinese dishes on a daily basis. In addition to the authentic 'dim sum' specialties, they serve various fish and seafood as well. The restaurant is open from 12:00 to 01:00 h.

ines chiumento Well priced and placed hotel with great service: 1 July 2011; 10; + A good value hotel in an excellent location close to both principal train stations in the Hague. The staff were excellent particularly the manager who is very helpful and definitely on the ball about his hotel and the Hague. The room was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The breakfast was also good.; - only minus is that it would have been great to have a small bar fridge in the room to keep drinks cool during the hot days of summer.

Ernst Harting Hidden gem: 30 November 2008; 9.2; + An unexpected and wonderful surprise, this small hotel has spotless and beautifully appointed rooms. Hard bed, which I like, lovely overstuffed comforters, very tasteful colour scheme and stylish Chinese furniture, small but gorgeous bathroom should be featured in some glossy magazine, free internet (cable was brought to my room). Great location for business travelers (near government departments and the city center) and tourists. I regretted my stay was only for one night and I was too rushed to sample the very attractive looking breakfast buffet.; - The hotel has no private parking garage. As in all major Dutch cities, public parking is expensive.

Anonymous Holiday abroad in the Netherlands: 27 January 2012; 6.0; + An out of the usual hotel in China town, The Hague. My stay was at the Chinese new year, so the street was nicely decorated. Personnel was kind, but hardly spoke Dutch.; - I arrived very late, parking is near but being a public parking not at the hotel. I had to walk 200 m, with luggage and felt a bit insecure due to the people I encountered on my way.

Groningen Hotel Wahto is een echte aanrader!: 14 June 2011; 9.2; + Zeer vriendelijke en vlotte bediening. Uitgebreid en kraakvers ontbijt, inclusief noedels, rijst, scrambled eggs en gebakken spekjes. Geen last van overlast (kamer aan de achterzijde). Stadsplattegronden aanwezig (je moet ze wel weten liggen). Laat aankomen is geen probleem; - Temperatuur douche: als je de kraan volledig opentrekt, dan kan de temperatuur schommelen. Als je de kraan een kleine centimeter terugduwt, blijft de temperatuur constant. Twee aparte bedden die niet te verschuiven zijn. Airco werkte niet optimaal, maar een open raam is een goede oplossing.

In het centrum, dichtbij ministerie Jus en BuZa ( handig als je documenten moet legaliseren :-)) Rustige kamer, schoon.; - Er was maar 1 handdoek terwijl we met 2 personen waren. Douche staat op een wel heel zuinige spaarstand, het doucht echt niet fijn. Bedden zijn wat aan de harde kan (maar verder wel prima!)

Goed verzorgde badkamer.; - Het leefruimte was heel erg summier. Er stonden twee Chinese stoeltjes, een klein bureautje en een bijzettafeltje met wat thee en waterkoker. Mijn benaming van het leefruimte zou eerder veredelde gang zijn. Verwacht absoluut geen luxieuse kamer.

Dit is de 4e keer dat we hier verbleven en nog steeds is er geen vers brood bij het ontbijt.
