Surroundings
Hotel Plato lies within a convenient walking distance from Scheveningen and the beach. Erg gastvrij, goede locatie (vlakbij strand en tram), erg schoon, goed bed en kinderbedje, rustige omgeving. De kamers hebben authentieke details, maar zijn volledig geupdate/gemoderniseerd. Al met al een prima aanrader!

Fabulous rooms, comfortable beds, excellent location, safe in each room. Lovely and quiet on a great street with tram near by and Scheveningen beach just a few minutes' walk. Owner clearly loves his business and has put great detail into the elegant decor.

A coffee/tea making facility in the rooms would have been welcome. Maybe there was one in the hotel, but we weren't shown it. Also, the Hotels.nl documentation states check-in until 18.00, but the owner prefers 16.00, so we got a phone call hurrying us along because he wanted to go home by 1700 at the latest! Which was impossible since we were traveling from the UK. It put quite a strain on us, especially when we got stuck in traffic as well.
*my tipPhone the owner straight away after booking if you are planning to arrive after 4pm and discuss it with him in person in advance. We had written it in the email when booking but that wasn't enough.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. The manager and other staff were very kind and helpful. The room was spacious and cosy, had a good kitchen and a very nice and clean bathroom. All the equipment and furniture was up to date and in perfect condition. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.
