+ Comfortable bed and bathroom, clean and quiet,good breakfast.

- Clearly not a four star hotel. It was good but lacks essential services of a four star hotel - for example a business center with a computer available for guests and rooms are equipped with dated non flat screen and small tvs - again not so,ething one would expect from a star hotel. While the room was comfortable and fine for the night, I felt mislead by the rating.

+ Breakfast was very good, staff very pleasant and helpful. Room clean (shower great). Liked kettle and tea for pre morning drink. Had a great time!

- Something was always forgotten after room was cleaned (only one out of 2 mugs left, no spoon, forgot body lotion...).

+ Very good accommodation and the manageress was very helpful in storing our bags until we were ready to go the the station, as our luggage was very lightn we travelled excellantly by tram-car. Thank you.

+ Very nice hotel with good location, where you can walk to most of famous places. The hotel provide a map with very detailed instruction. you only need to follow it!

- We booked two rooms, one arranged at 2nd floor which is very nice, and the other one at 4th floor on the top of the building which is half-roof and very low for 1/3 of space.

- The drobe in our room was broken and the telephone cable was torn out. Till the end of our stay it wasn't fixed though reception was informed about it.

+ the stay was excellant and the location of the hotel was perfect. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast were excellant as well. the staff was most gracious and we enjoyed the stay

- the only issue i have was the lack of coffee packets being replaced. we had to ask for coffee packkets 3 times

- Seems to have gone down on the maintenance. The shower hose seriously needed replacing. This hotel used to have an awesome breakfast. Now it was just ok.

+ - nice breakfast, although a shame that the room has no daylight - relatively quiet room - Nice bar, where we were very well taken care of by the receptionist in the evening.

- - We specifically asked for twin beds. When we came into the room, there were two beds, but standing together. I went down to reception to ask them about it. Although there were 5 people at the reception, the only comment I got was, I could pull them apart myself. Regarding the fact that I was together with my mother, who is in her 80s and I am not that agile myself anymore, I found that very rude that no one even offered to help me. - There were no hangers on the towels to hang them on the wall - The door in the room was very hard to open - The rack for the hangers in the wardrobe was broken - The safe was out of batterie and it was not possible to open the door properly, since it was standing too close to the bed. Therefore it was not possible to see the button one had to press before entering the code - The toilet brush and the toilet brush holder were horribly dirty! - There were no spoons for the coffee or tea - There was nothing in the room to hang up a coat

+ Excellent location, very friendly staff, nice hotel, good rooms, nice breakfast buffet (not included).

- The towels are old and used, pitty for the standard. It would be nice to have fitted sheets on mattress, bed is not comfortable because sheets are too small and get loose. The selection on cable TV is reduced, for more choices like BBC World and CNN you have to pay extra.

+ The trainee's were so much nicer and friendlier than the female manager who was stern and unapproachable. We had great chats with the staff, other than the manager, obviously.

- Internet access ONLY available in the lobby. We would prefer it our rented room away from the smokers.

+ The cleaning staff were so friendly and caring. The trainees were very friendly, but over-worked, some-times the only one there for the whole shift. But they always smiled and chatted when available.

- The cigarette smoke in the dining room and lobby ruined every breakfast. Even though I had the best room on the highest floor, I could still smell cigarettes wafting in from other places.

+ The hotel staff were friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed and informal. One felt cared for and at home rather than as a consumer unit of a large corporate hotel. A most enjoyable stay. We will return again - indeed we are in December.

- None. But I do wish the Dutch government would not insist on a total ban on smoking. Part of the pleasure of hotel is is to drink and smoke (a little).

+ Very helpful staff. Nothing too much trouble. Room very spacious and clean. Breakfast choices were excellent and Eva was very helpful.

- However, the cleaning staff - this is why I marked the service low, not aimed at the Hotel staff in any way, see above - we found our beds had been covered over with the duvet but the sheet had not been smoothed. This meant we had to remake our own beds each night. This is just not acceptable for a 4* hotel. We complained to the reception desk but only received an apology - no recommpense at all. We came to a 4* hotel to ge away from bed making! AirCon would have been nice. Couldn't have the window open, even though hot, as room overlooked the street and on Thursday night a lot of noise from kids shouting to each other and no-one telling them to stop.

+ Staff at the reception was very pleasant and helpful.

- No staff present at breakfast therefore difficult (if not impossible) to ask for what ever was missing on the buffet, e.g. coffee, milk. The entrance to the room and the exit to the car park were blocked by trolleys of linen which were left there for the whole duration of my stay. The bottom sheet of the bed was too small. It did not fold over the sides and there was no cover on the mattress, I spent most of the night sleeping directly on the mattress.

+ Service that was not just friendly--but also proactive and genuinely interested. This was the best hotel experience I have had in years.

- The use of duvets instead of bedsheets on the beds--I know it's a common practice in Northern Europe, but I vastly prefer regular sheets.

+ There were several grocery stores near by to purchase items for breakfast or lunch, which was helpful since the breakfast costs 15 Euro per person.

- The front desk was understaffed; the lone person working at the front desk had to not only help people checking in, but also had to help people in the cafeteria and the bar, so often guests would need to wait several minutes for service. When asked about major tourist sights, the front desk people would look up information on the internet (which seemed to waste time) instead of having some tour information available.

- Lift was very noisy - could do with a tune up, and kept me awake. Room was hot. There was no blind on one of the windows. Somewhat understaffed on front desk.

+ The hotel was great value for me. For the price, I'm not sure what I expected, but it actually surpassed my expectation.

- There were no adaptors for those of us who had non-continental plugs. This was a problem for me as I could not style my hair and I was attending a conference.
