On the southside of the island of Texel, in the middle of the woods, you will find the cosy Appartementenhotel Bos en Duin. From the hotel you can enjoy the magnificent view of the typical Texel landscape with woods, dunes and flocks of sheep on the pasture. The surrounding area is perfect for hiking and cycling. Within walking distance lies the watchtower Fonteinsnol.
The apartments of the hotel are available in different sizes and rates. The hotel offers 35 fully-equipped apartments on the ground floor, first and second floor. Most apartments have a terrace or balcony. Every apartment comes with a living room with an open kitchen, a double bedroom with single beds and a bathroom with a shower and toilet. Furthermore you will find a television and a radio/cd player in each room.
The hospitable hotel also offers apartments for four persons, that are perfect for a stay with your family. It is also possible to rent a meeting room or have a fun evening with the available Old-Dutch games.
Food and Drinks
Breakfast is daily served from 09:00 until 10:30 h. in the restaurant. The breakfast buffet offers a choice of items such as freshly bakes rolls, eggs, cheese and meat products, milk, fruit juices, tea and coffee.
In the restaurant guests can order lunch and dinner. The staff serve typical regional dishes made with fresh seasonal products and more extensive dinner options.In the winter months the restaurant is sometimes only open for breakfast.

Surroundings
Texel offers a world of activities, such as the 10 kilometre long mountainbike route that runs near the Appartementenhotel Bos en Duin. Easily accessible by bike at just several kilometres away you will find the villages of Den Hoorn, De Koog and Den Burg. The attractive white church of Den Hoorn was built in 1425, and it still serves as a beacon for shipping. Nowadays many islanders make a living out of sheep farming. In spring the island is dotted with little lambs. If you would like to see these cute animals you are advised to try the Zuidroute of the local tourist office.
