Description
Hotel Hanzestadslogement De Leeuw is located in the historic centre of the Hanseatic town Deventer. This atmospheric and small-scale family hotel has 10 rooms, behind a monumental facade that dates back to 1645. Guests enter the hotel through the coffee and tea room. Bakery tools, coffee grinders and cake trays on the walls remind us of days gone past.
At the back of the hotel lies a court yard with a comfortable terrace, where guests can find some rest after an active day. The terrace also offers access to the Hanze-museum and the adjacent candy store 'from granny's age'. A slice of the local cake, Deventerkoek, is the perfect accompaniment to a cup of coffee or tea. At the hotel guests can buy various products from European Hanseatic towns, such as mustard from Deventer, tea from Zutphen, chocolate from Brussels, marzipan from Lübeck, honey and relish from Hamburg, candy from Helsingborg and marmalade from Copenhagen.
The rooms are equipped with all kinds of comfortable facilities. A kitchenette with linen, a fan, a table and chairs and a games box are just some of the amenities in the rooms. Guests will also find a welcoming basket with coffee and tea, which is perfect for relaxing after a long journey.

Surroundings
The Hanseatic town of Deventer offers beautiful monuments and tourist sights. Visitors can start their tour in De Waag building, which houses the Historisch Museum Deventer and the local tourist office. Along the way visitors can discover the toy museum Speelgoedmuseum Deventer, and the Lebuïnus church. With the ferry boat one can cross the IJssel river and explore the beautiful nature of the Worpplantsoen and the Ossenwaard.
