Description
Where once the poor were taken care of, now the guests of Landhotel diever are welcomed cordially. The beautiful historical building from 1861 has seen a lot in the past century and has served as an inn and livery stable. After the renovation and and building the new wing, the hotel complies with all the requirements of the guests. The hostess welcome anyone who wants to enjoy the beautiful scenery and good Drenthe hospitality. There are bicycles for rent at the hotel and there is a bicycle shed. They inform the guests about walking and cycling routes. Around the country hotel, border colly training sessions are held to teach these dogs sheep driving.
In the added wing, the rooms are grouped around a patio. This wing is special because of the use of wood and covered the slanting ecological roofs on which chives and other plants can grow. The rooms are bright and have excellent beds and a private bathroom with shower and toilet. Furthermore the rooms have a television, telephone and safe. Also a few rooms have a private terrace with magnificent views over the landscape of Drenthe. To have a chat with other guests there's a cozy bar, a TV lounge and a good library. In consultation, it's also possible to play various games, both outside and inside the hotel. For example you can do archery here. Weather permitting, it is lovely to sit on the terrace overlooking the meadows with grazing cattle, when its colder you can sit in the sun-room.
Food and Drinks
Breakfast is served each morning in the beautiful conservatory between 08:00 and 10:00 h. In consultation another time can be arranged. Between 11:00 and 22:00 h., the bar and conservatory are open for coffee and cake, appetizer or snack. Weather permitting, obviously it's great to sit on the terrace.
Lunch is served on request only, and it's erved from 12:30 h. For day trips you can order a packed lunch (at a charge).
From 18:00 to 22:30 h. the restaurant is open for dinner. The kitchen is open at least until 20:00 hours. It serves a daily changing menu with fresh and pure products, inspired by international cuisine. In winter the restaurant is open in the weekend en during the week limited.

In the hotel guests can make use of the guest computer and free use of wireless Internet.
Other information
- The hotel does not have a 24-hour reception. Guests can check-in untill 21:00 h.
- The hotel has special rooms for guests with a disability. These rooms can be booked on request.
- Pets are allowed in the hotel on request for €10 per night.
- It is possible to rent bikes the friendly staff will gladly help you make a choice.

Surroundings
In whatever season, from Landhotel Diever it's always nice to start a walk. Within walking distance are the beautiful forests of the Drents Friese Woud. After 900 meter you'll stumble into the megaliths of Diever, tombstones of thousands of years old, giant boulders that were placed by the inhabitants of this area. For children the attraction park Duinen Zathe in Appelscha is great in summer, with its giant slide and aquascooters. At approximately 12 kilometer lies the capital of the province of Drenthe: Assen. Here the nightlife and shopping are good.
Important information
Please note: Navigation and directions direct you through the sandy path, which in bad weather is rough. If you use a navigation system, turn it off when entering the town Diever and follow the route signs to the hotel.
