Villa Ruimzicht Doetinchem first opened its doors in September 2007. The current hotel used to be a boarding school. The monumental building from 1853 is located among the exotic trees that make up a true forest garden. This city estate is within walking distance from the centre of Doetinchem and 15 minutes away from the train station. The hotel can be easily reached via the A18 motorway.
The interiors and the decoration of Hotel Villa Ruimzicht are remarkable, to say the least. The timeless interior has a Dutch origin, as do the challenging art works all over the hotel. This style is also carried over into the luxury theme rooms, among which are the Lifestyle Room and the Romantic Room. The rooms are all non-smoking and offer, among other things, free wireless Internet and a flatscreen television. The American shutters provide a unique lighting scheme. Guests themselves can also adjust the colour of lighting in the rooms. The hotel has two restaurants and an exclusive cooking studio. Food and Drinks
On Monday through Friday breakfast is served in the 'Kookstudio' (cooking studio) from 06:45 to 10:00 h. and on weekends from 07:00 to 10:30 h. It works according to the principles of 'Front Cooking', whereby one member of the hotel staff for instance bakes eggs or bread on the spot.
Guests can choose between two different modern restaurants. 'Bites', the Grill & Tapas bar, is informal and global in atmosphere. Here, or on the adjacent terrace, guests can enjoy the delicious tapas snacks. For some exclusive culinary enjoyment guests can visit the baroque 'Take Your Time' restaurant. This restaurant serves traditional menus with marketfresh ingredients, from surprise dinners to a two or three course dinner. The cook will gladly take into account any dietary preferences.
