Description
Hotel Doldersum is housed in a farmhouse from the year 1900. In the years that followed, the farm was refurbished more and more, in-keeping with its authentic character. Around the hotel is a spacious garden where children can play, a small petting zoo, various trees with fruit, a kitchen and herb garden and wonderful seats where you can relax.
The hotel has several rooms, ranging from singles to a quad. The rooms have comfortable box-spring beds, a flatscreen television, telephone, a seat and a bathroom with shower, wash basin and toilet. The main colours of the rooms are beige, cream and apple green; fresh and natural colours.
When the restaurant was set up, the choice was made to use natural colors and wood. In the restaurant you will find tables for two and four people and a large table for regulars. There is a bar with high tables and stools as well.
The cozy village of Doldersum is surrounded by the beautiful nature of national reserve Drents-Friese Wold. This is one of the largest forest and heath land area in the Netherlands. The immediate surroundings of the hotel offer many woods, streams, heathland, sand drifts and meres. Many walking and cycling routes run through the area. You can enjoy the natural landscape and many fun outings nearby. How about a visit to cheese farm Potuyt, indoor playground Speelstad Oranje in Beilen, the megaliths of Diever and Havelte, the zoo in Emmen or Planetron Cinedom in Dwingeloo.
Food and Drinks
Every morning breakfast awaits you in the breakfast room from 08:00-10:00 h.
The hotel has a restaurant as well. The products used for a delicious meal come from local suppliers. In most cases, the vegetables come from the hotel garden. So, the products used are honest and fine and come from the immediate surroundings. The restaurant is not completely organic though. The restaurant is open from 11:00 h until the last guest has left.

Other information
– The hotel does not have a 24-hour reception. Guests can check in until 18:00 h. If you would like to check in later, you need to contact the reception in advance.
– On request an additional bed can be placed in the room for €30 per night.
– Pets are allowed on request for €5 per night. If dogs are left in het hotel room alone, they have to be put in the bench ( a bench will be placed in the room).
– Luggage can be stored at the hotel.
Surroundings
Doldersum hotel is centrally located in Southwest Drenthe, with the adjacent province of Friesland nearby. The surroundings can be explored on foot and by bike. Fromk here, you can also visit the cultural and natural sights in in the north of the Netherlands easily. It is not necessary to bring your own bike, the hotel rents bikes as well.
