Dordrecht was the first city in the old county of Holland that was granted city rights. In the 12th and 13th century the city was the most important trade centre of Holland. The city is a conservation area and has been portrayed very often. The city has more than 900 national monuments and lies at a junction of rivers. In the old harbour area you will find many warehouses and beautiful bridges. A round trip through the city or on one of the rivers is certainly worthwhile.

Friendly helpful staff
Not a good location if you don't have your own transport.
Quite noisy - had to keep the window shut because of road traffic and rail traffic.
Fire doors in the corridors are also very noisy when shut.
The hotel staff were very friendly with lovely smiles to greet you. Their spoken English was excellent with no communication troubles. Restaurant service was very good and the room service also. The staff were always courteous and polite.
The hotel was not easy to find. Major roadworks were taking place very near to the hotel and this caused me to find another route around.
The shower, whilst clean, was very small. I would often bang my elbows against the side wall while washing. The sachets of shower gel did not contain enough soap to clean the whole body.
The car park can become crowded during the week, this caused me to park on the street. But it seemed fairly quiet so I didn't worry too much.

Close to the motorway. Easy to continue journey.
Parking very limited due to hotel being full.
Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel had a nice feel for a small hotel.
Was near to a main road. Was about 1/2hr walk to the town centre, although only 10 minutes by bicycle.
Very pleasant staff
A bit too far from the town centre. There could have been more information about public transport to the centre
The staff were very friendly
The hotel was quite far out of Dordrecht
(Families with young children)
Food and service in the restaurant was excellent. Staff were very helpful. Close enough to go into the Town by taxi rather than take the car. Internet was free to use. Beds were comfy. Bathroom was clean. Loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom.
Car Park small. Had to park on the road and was worried about this.
