Hotel de Borken Dwingeloo lies on the edge of a beautiful and vast landscape, the National Park 'Dwingelerveld'. It is a nature area with its own particular beauty. Old woods, heaths, and meres alternately grace the scenery. If you are lucky, you might encounter a shepherd and a flock of sheep. In the village Dwingeloo you may find the observatory, which houses the 'Planetron', an exposition about the galaxy, and an impressive space theatre. In Dwingeloo's direct surroundings you may also find the Glass- and Sea Museum.
