Hotel Princenhof dates from 1938 and enjoys a beautiful location on the banks of one of the Frisian lakes. The hotel exudes peace and space, partly due its pretty surroundings. This hotel is worth a visit either during the winter or the summer. Many holiday-makers visit this stunning area in the summer. Be sure to make reservations well in advance if you want to explore the surroundings by boat during the peak season.
The hotel's restaurant has a private outdoor terrace, where you can enjoy the tranquillity whilst sipping a drink. After an active day outdoors you can retire to your modern room, equipped with a private bathroom with a shower and toilet, telephone, television and tea and coffee making facilities. The comfort and deluxe rooms are located on the lakeside. The standard rooms are located on the landside.
Food and Drinks
Breakfast is served from 07:00 - 10:00 on weekdays, and from 08:00 - 10:30 at weekends.
During the winter the restaurant is open for lunch from 12:00 - 14:00 on weekdays. At weekends and during the summer it is open from 12:00 - 17:00.
During the winter the restaurant is open for dinner from 17:30 - 20:00, and during the summer from 17:30 - 21:00.
The restaurant has a unique waterfront terrace, where you can enjoy a cup of coffee, lunch or an excellent dinner. The bar is open daily from 08:00 to midnight, but may close earlier during the winter season when it's quiet.

Exploring by bike or by foot is also worthwhile, as you'll see many lakes, pools, reedlands and swamp forests.
