Nowadays you can spend the night in the striking building where the light bulbs used to be tested. Living, working and relaxing are all combined in this building. Surroundings
Best Western Premier Art Hotel is located in the centre of Eindhoven at 2 minutes from the trainstation, overlooking the PSV stadium. It is one of the companies established in a monumental building, which used to be the the Philips Light Factory was housed. Some of the original elements can still be seen in the rooms. The shopping area can be reached by a short 1 minute walk. Browse the quaint shops or enjoy the Brabant atmosphere in one of the many restaurants and cafes. Business guests will appreciate the nearby locations of the office of Philips (adjacent), the area of the Technical University TU Eindhoven (5 minutes) and exhibition centre Beursgebouw (3 minutes).
Food and Drinks
From Monday till Friday breakfast is served from 06:30 until 10:00 h. During the weekend breakfast is served from 07:30 until 11:00h.
Besides a bar the hotel also offers a restaurant. The kitchen is open until 22:00 h. and the bar until approximately 01:00 h.

Car park
The hotel has parking facilities. The costs are €15 a night. It is not possible to reserve a space.
Children/extra beds

An additional bed can not be placed in the room.

they let me have early checkin and late check out (for an extra fee) very nice hotel, and good value for money. large rooms.

stayed in te old building, not as nice as new building. long maze like walk to my room. no bathtub in room (last time i stayed, in the new building there was the nicest bath tub ever!) took ages to wait for the lift to my floor!

Room was large and very stylish, beds comfortable, staff courteous and helpful. We arrived at 10am and were able to check into our room which was a pleasant surprise. The building itself is quirky due to it's former use by Philips but that was part of the charm, though you can work up an appetite walking from reception to your room!

Only criticism would be the cost of breakfast which may be ok for businessmen on expenses but we thought 21 euros was a lot to pay as visitors during Dutch Design week. I think they probably lose some business to the restaurant just a few metres away where we got two substantial breakfasts for the cost of one in the hotel.

This hotel was everything the website promised and more. It is incredibly stylishb and clean and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever had the pleasure of sleeping in. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we had no problem at all checking in at 3:30 in the morning. They also answered an email question I had in less than 24 hours.

I can think of no minus points except maybe that it would have been nice if breakfast was included in the price.

This is a gorgeous hotel, especially for their opening special price. Beautiful view of Eindhoven from the hallways (which have big glass windows), the bath is huge, and I loved the creative but simple fit out. Quiet (though this was possibly because it wasn't full) and the curtains keep out the light in the morning so it's easy to sleep in (if you want to!).

Check that you don't have two single beds pushed together (if you're hoping for a double) and note that breakfast is not included in the price even if they say, "Breakfast is served at 7am" when you check-in. I would love to see them improve their environmental credentials - no encouragement to re-use towels and they would have changed the sheets each day if I'd let them!

The common areas of the hotel were very cold as were the rooms- making it a very uncomfortable stay. I had to use a second duvet to try and keep warm. There was no opportunity of adjusting the room temperature- apparently the hotel is design to be a uniform temperature. The day I was leaving it was so cold the reception staff were using a blow heater to stay warm. I would be very relucant to stay in this hotel again for that reason.

Wij hadden op onze kamer een probleem met het sanitair (kraan zat los). Dit werd keurig opgelost en vervolgens werd ons voor het ongemak een upgrade naar de suite aangeboden. Er goede service dus. Geweldig mooie kamers met unieke designs

The room was a very good sized bedroom, with all the ammenities that you ought to find in a 4 star hotel, the location was superb and the customer service assistants were friendly and very helpfull.

The double bed wasn't for a 4 star !!!
Its not worth the money paid for two single beds added togather with a big gab in the middle, the duvets were also single and although i had informed them that we two people, they couldn't provide any bigger duvets, ..
so had my feet left out......at night.....!!!!!
And even the single duvet not suitable for a couple as everyone literally sleeps on one end...!
Need for a change !

'Old building' stairwell door was locked. I tried to use elevator but it was being serviced. The only way down was to have the Otis service tech unlock the stairwell door.
Not good if this was an emergency. Thankfully it was not an emergency.

The glasses of cava and lobster salad we received after check-in was a fantastic surprise. Very nice touch. I've stayed in many hotels and this is the first reception I've received like that!

The only minus point is in our hotel room, the bedframe (which was beautiful) was directly in the way of the high-definition television. Luckily, we don't watch t.v.

I went as holland competed in the world cup final, and everyone was in such high spirits, very accommodating! And very much likely to return. The quality of the room was amazing, and we were opposite the giant tv in the city centre! Perfect for my partner to watch the match!
