Sandton Eindhoven City Centre is located in the centre of Eindhoven, across from the Van Abbe Museum, and within walking distance of the Frits Philips concert hall. Guest can relax in the parks Stadswandelpark or the Genneperparken. Eindhoven is surrounded by beautiful nature areas, among which the Strabrechtse Heide.

The centre of Eindhoven can be described as modern, yet graced with a number of impressive neo-gothic buildings. An American breakfast buffet us served on Monday through Friday from 07:00 to 09:30 h. and on the weekend from 08:00 to 10:30 h. Breakfast is served in the lounge where guests can also enjoy an Italian-inspired meal in the evening, or a good glass of wine by the fireplace. On weekdays the hotel can arrange a breakfast for early risers between 06:30 and 09:00 h.
In the Lounge guests can choose from the delicious meals from the small menu between 18:00 h. until 21:00 h. Next to the hotel, guests can find restaurant DaNello, which offers culinary expertise inspired by Italian cuisine. It is recommended to make a reservation.

decent hotel, but more attention to detail in the rooms

The staff were helpful and polite, and generous breakfasts. The 'downstairs' area of the hotel - the restaurant area and reception are smart and comfortable. The restaurant was good too

The rooms lack attention to detail - no towel rails, nowhere much to sit, awkward locks, no drawers and not too warm either! Unfortunately the corridors smelt badly of cigarette smoke for a couple of days. No free wifi

Business Stay in the Sandton Eindhoven

I love the location, just at the Centrum, and the value of this hotel. The room was very comfortable and superbly maintained in a simple and elegant style. The bathroom was small but in perfect condition - even the shower doors allowed no water to escape onto the floor (frequent travelers will understand). Beds are very comfortable, firm as I like them. Breakfast is a real bargain, everything you could want at a reasonable price, and presented in a nice setting. Plenty of good coffee. Taxi service available was swift. Great hotel!

Rain! (But that's not the Sandton's fault) Actually the only negative critique is that the bed had the ubiquitous duvet instead of a topsheet, and I always have to pull the stuffing out of the cover to have the chance to sleep. All the hotels have gone this route - and in summertime this is completely mystifying! That's it - nothing else negative.

Nice hotel lobby not so nice room

The receptionists were friendly and helpful and the lobby area was clean and inviting.....much more so than the room. The room was generally clean and the beds were comfortable. I was expecting small as it is a city hotel and this did not therefore disappoint.

The room was basic and quite old looking. I could have marked hygiene higher as the room, bedding and towels were very clean; however the toilet which is (in my opinion) a key area for hygiene was not pleasant. The toilet itself was old and badly stained as was the shower which did not work particularly well. Another big drawback to our comfort was a step leading up to the bathroom which was uneven and extremely hard to avoid catching with your toes. There should have been very clear warning notification and if possible some type of edging to prevent painful accidents with toes and feet on the rough concrete edge. I very nearly tripped on several occasions as did my husband and this could have resulted in serious injury.....I was perfectly sober so this was not due to being accident prone or incapacitated for any reason.

Rooms need a bit of care - water stains, peeling wallpaper, etc. Also common areas need better cleaning. 3rd floor window next to lift had a saliva (I hope) stain there for our entire stay.

Non credo ci fosse molto di positivo, ma alla fine neanche di negativo. Hotel semplice, soprattutto le camere, senza alcuna pretesa. Discreta la prima colazione, abbastanza vicino al centro e soprattutto alla via dei pub più lunga d'Europa. Vi consiglio di non andare ad Eindhoven ad Agosto, altrimenti come è successo a noi, vedrete un pò di mortorio in giro e soprattutto la "via dei pub chiusi per ferie più lunga d'Europa..."

A wonderful hotel for a reasonable price.

Such a great hotel. It looks great, the rooms are great, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the breakfast was lovely. For the price I wonderful place to stay.

There is a bar/club just down the road so it can get very noisy, so perhaps not a good choice if you are a light sleeper.

The one sole thing to complane about was the poor breakfast, it was really lousy, please do something about it and I will gladely come back. But as it is now I would never pay €14,5 for this crap. I payed €12 at the Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam and that was on a different planet!

My room had a very bad smell in it, I hope this was not the same for the rest of the hotel. Room 120 had a smell of bad sewarage or something, I had to leave the window open all night. Because it was only for one night I did not complain, it could have been airconditioning? I work for philips medical systems and come regularly for training and would have liked to recommend hotel for our company in uk to use because of its location? Maybe if you sort smell out I could in the future.

A comfortable, recently refurbished hotel in a quiet street in the town. We were upgraded to a suite in adjoining block with its own entrance. Very quiet and helpful staff. No language problems

A kettle in the room (usually expected by UK and US travellers) would have been convenient but it is not customary on the continent.

Our second and third nights stay were fine after we had unpacked for the third time. Staff were good and breakfast good and the suite we finally had was second to none after room 1 - second floor - standard - no air conditioning - Room 2 double delux last one on the floor and not a nice feel to it anyway the airconditioning destroyed the bathroom so we were moved late at night to a twin delux. As I had confirmed booking as a double delux before travelling the next morning I asked to be moved during the day from this which we were.

Our first night of the three booked was very disappointing. My partner & I have travelled to Eindhoven twice a year for a number of years. This was our fist time staying in the Hampshire Inn. After a booking for a double deluxe suite we had a no of issues with the room(s)assigned & it was really only on day 2 after being assigned a 4th room that I started to enjoy our stay. I have never had so many issues with a room before. Secondly I was amazed the cleaning staff open all the rooms on a corridor when cleaning I though that was very loose security. A discount for the first night would have eased the discomfort but the checking out staff was not the one I had dealt with and I was keen to leave at that stage

They did offer to pack breakfast since the kitchen didnt start until 7am. This however was limited as the kitchen had only opened.

- DON'T get the twin bed option !!! I am 5"5 and my feet were hanging off the edge. - They do not have a proper restaurant there. - Breakfast starts a 7am but if you need to catch a train early you miss out on eating.

Voor de rest: leuk hotel, vlotte bediening en prima locatie.

Pas na de derde sleutel had ik eindelijk een kamer die proper was. De eerste 2 kamers waren niet gekuist. Aangezien "kamers" verhuren het werk van het hotel is, vind ik wat mij overkomen is onaanvaardbaar. Ik kreeg wel een upgrade, maar dat is het minste.
