+ Rooms were very nice,clean and spacious.

- When entering the hotel, the service was excellent. However, not once was I able to get a hold of front reception while staying at the hotel. Also the fact that the shuttle service was only available during the week was also a downside.

+ Great value and have stayed at the hotel several times before. Excellent breakfast but a little bit expensive.

- Seemed hard to get to with the "new" road network - clear directions need to be provided. Very disappointed when we arrived to find that the restaurant was closed for "Christmas" dinner bookings only and that we weren't told at the time of booking so that we could make other arrangements.

+ The room was large and the bathroom was nice

- The traffic noise outside my room kept me awake from 4am, if known I would have brought ear plugs. I would not reccomend purely on the noise. Everything else was nice.

+ The restaurant and the wait staff is excellent. This was actually the best part of the hotel stay.

- The heat in the room is terrible, the room is cold and there is no heat in the bathroom at all. The radiator control can be set on 5 but the radiator remains cold until the middle of the night. Around 1am. the radiator begins to "gurgle" and generate heat so by waking time it's fairly comfortable. Unfortunately, the maid would leave the door to the outside open all day and when I returned from work in the evening, the room was like a meat locker. I wrote her a note and she did leave the door closed for one day but resumed leaving the outside door open once again. I don't believe a business traveller should be expected to spend that much money on a room and be forced to be cold and take a shower in a freezing cold bathroom every day. I was in the older section of the hotel, maybe things are better in the "tower". The two gentlemen I travelled with didn't seem to have any issues with heat and they were in the tower. Also in the hallways going to the rooms on the 2nd floor, the overpowering smell of chlorine is present at all times. That would indicate close proximity to the swimming pool. Not a very pleasant thing to have to walk through to get to your room.

+ Easy to reach. Reasonable price. Good parking.

- No glutenfree bread during breakfast (more and more hotels are really doing this now!). Shower was overflowing. Very slow service cleaning the tables during breakfast so that dozens of tables couldn't be used and people were walking around with their breakfast plates looking for a table.

+ Excellent value for the price. The room was clean and spacious. Good restaurant with friendly staff.

- No free wireless Internet in the room. The hotel is in an out-of-the-way location, and approximately 10 minutes driving distance from the city center. However, there is a public bus stop in front of the hotel which provides very inexpensive and convenient transport to the city center and train station. The hotel shuttle bus was useless for us, due to its relatively narrow hours of operation. Be aware that the hotel information/shuttle bus desk at the Eindhoven airport closes at 5:00 in the afternoon, and after that time you need to make special arrangements to be picked-up.

+ Breakfast excellent. Dinner nice, with adapted kid meal. Room spacious and confortable. Gym and pool. Friendliness employees.

- Since we took a dog along we were obliged to stay in a smoking room...with a 1 1/2 year old child. Parking quite full (because of footballers playing in the field next to hotel), thus impossible to park close to reception hotel.

+ Zeer uitgebreid ontbijt, waarbij het jammerlijk opvalt dat deze luxe niet aan iedereen besteed is: Velen nemen allerlei broodjes en beleg mee naar de tafel maar laten vervolgens de helft of meer liggen... Daar stoor ik mij wel aan: pak het dan niet!

- Have stayed at hotel and always been happy. However had a very noisy room this visit (just over reception) and lost sleep due to large group staying at hotel who were outside of reception drinking, smoking and being very loud..

+ recently,i went to Belguim on business,along with my 2 sons,we stayed for one night at the van der valk hotel eindhoven, as it was after 6pm when we arrived at the airport, the desk for the shuttle bus to the hotel was closed. so we had to take a20 min taxi.hotel was very nice and the food was really good, as we had our dinner there that evening,average price 20 euros for the main course.per person. the breakfast buffet was well worth the 12.50 euros per person.a great selection of hot and cold food. would recommend this hotel and on my next visit i will stay there again.

- we were dissapointed with the shuttle desk being closed so early, as we were told on the hotel information,when you arrrive at the airport there is a shuttle bus to the hotel,and you can book this at the desk in eindhoven airport, it did not state that the desk closed at 5pm, and after that time you would have needed to pre book the shuttle when you booked your stay at the hotel. price should have been 15euros for 3 persons in the shuttle, instead we had to pay 45 euros for the taxi, we all found for some reason we had a sleepless night,as the beds were a little to soft. i give this hoel overall marks 8 out of ten.

+ Convenient to airport and ice arena which were important to us during our visit. The hotel stored our luggage for a few days when we went on a short trip. Breakfast buffet was excellent!

- I didn't like the paper facecloths that were supplied in the washroom. I would like to see recycling containers in the rooms.

+ good value for money (special weekend deal of €69), great breakfast. Large enough room.

- Room unbearably hot (a lot cooler outside), felt like underfloor heating pipes. As groundfloor, could only open door in tilt mode, very little air coming through. As there was a hockey tournament nearby, the hotel was extremely noisy, with lots of banging on doors and shouting at 2am and onwards. Phoned reception who said "they would look into it". Not a lot happened, strange as reception was 20m away around the corner that they did not hear anything. Later found out that furniture had been thrown of balcony, just missing my sisters car. Complained at reception at check out and they said "yes it was a warm night" and "yes it was very noisy" - not very helpful. Shame, as hotel itself is not bad at all.

+ Amenities and room furnishings are very good. That you ask for feedback!

- (1) Most of the service staff appear very unfriendly and unhelpful. (2) Inspite of asking about laundry, there was no information that this service is not available during weekends. The key to the Laundromatte didnt work and I was told somebody will fix it and give me a call. Nobody did. (3) There is no concierge at this hotel and the front desk does not know nor are they able to guide. (4) Housekeeping is not very good either. I have stayed now for 8 days. They missed one day and even when they do come, its very minimal.

+ Near Eindhoven Airport, recently renovated. Comfy looking lounge.

- Restaurant quality VERY POOR! Interior looks very promising, but the food was terrible. Salmon salad with too much salmon, too little dressing and salad. Schnitzel was dry. After expressing our dislikes we only wanted our coffee fast (baby needed sleep) they still waited for over half (if not 3/4 of) an hour to serve the coffee. Hotel personal however was very pleasing.

+ The actual room was great and the breakfast was savage.It was very well kept and there were no disturbances.I had read that there would be a deal of noise from the adjoining road but that wasn't the case.There are plenty of buses,too and from town but in any case it's not as far as people make out.We walked in one day and it only took us about 40 minutes.

- Well I lost my cap in the bar and when I asked no one even bothered to look so that was that.Plus a girl at reception did try and charge us for any extra night even though we had paid cash on arrival.Make sure you keep your confirmation details as I did.But that's all.

+ The internet weekend price I got for this four star hotel was brilliant. Only £20pppn! And with breakfast and the sports centre included, this was phenominal!! I traveled with my sister. We particulaly enjoyed the MASSIVE breakfast buffet.

- Wasnt happy about being charged for a jug og tap water and a blob of mayonnaise in the restaurant.
