Hampshire Hotel – Emmen offers a wide range of facilities. The hotel is conveniently close to the centre of Emmen: within four minutes you can reach the 'Marktplein' (central square) and the zoo. In the hotel itself you will find not only three restaurants, but also a business and a sports centre. For most of these facilities hotel guests receive a discount on the price. At the hotel reception guests can obtain directions for a nice walk or bike ride through the countryside.
All rooms are equipped with a shower and/or bath and toilet, a 2.10 metre bed, a telephone with modem connection, digital television, and a wireless internet connection. The hotel also has three suites with a power shower and a sauna or Jacuzzi, four family rooms with a bath and shower, and three rooms with a special theme: 1001 nights, 'Out of Africa', and Japan. There is also a number of rooms with air conditioning and a small refrigerator.
The hotel also has various conference rooms. These are excellently suited for small-scale business meetings, courses, or other business gatherings. The larger halls in the hotel can be used for more large-scale gatherings, like conferences or company presentations.
Food and Drinks
In the morning breakfast is set up in the restaurant or on the patio. On Mondays through Fridays this breakfast is set up from 07:00 to 10:00 h. and in the weekend from 07.30 to 10.30 h.
The a la carte restaurant has an excellent menu that changes with the seasons, and dishes that are made from fresh products. Guest can choose from the menu or let themselves be surprised by the three- or four-course Surprise Menu. There is also a children's menu and on Sunday the restaurant serves a special surprise menu. The kitchen is opened daily between 17:30 and 22:00 h.
In Brasserie Mombassa guests can have a nice cup of coffee, a lunch, or a cocktail. A number of dishes have an African touch to them. The kitchen is open from 12:00 to 21:30 h. Brasserie Mombasa is also suited for parties or meetings.
Finally, the hotel also offers roomservice. On request, guests can have a nice breakfast delivered to their room.

Hampshire Hotel – Emmen is close to the centre of Emmen and the zoo 'Dierenpark Emmen'. In the direct surroundings of the city you can also pay a visit to the open-air museum 'Het Veenpark' near Barger-Compascuum, where the history of the peat colonies comes alive. Around the city of Emmen there are many woods, heaths, and canals, and the surroundings are perfect for a nice walk. Of course, a visit to one of the 51 prehistoric 'Hunebedden' (Dolmen) in the province Drenthe is not to be missed.
