The famous French painter Jacques-Louis David, who painted 'Mars Being Disarmed by Venus' once resided in this former cloister. For lovers of design, Brussels offers places such as the Sint-Hubertusgalerij, a covered shopping arcade with many beautiful design shops. The Royal Palace and the Paleis der Natie (Federal Parliament of Belgium) are also interesting places to see. Both are only a 15-minute walk from the hotel, and along the way you'll pass many nice shops, cafés and good restaurants offering all sorts of cuisines.
