Explore the region by following one of many walking and cycling paths, such as the European coastal hiking route E9, which is known as the North Sea Trail. The town lies in the south of the province of Zuid-Holland, surrounded by many kilometres of sandy beaches. The beach at Grevelingen is a popular spot for walking, sunbathing, kiting, windsurfing and kitesurfing. If you prefer to stay indoors, a visit to Expo Haringvliet or the Rien Poortvliet Museum in Korendijk are recommended. Rien Poortvliet, a renowned Dutch artist, has made beautiful drawings and books about Dutch traditions and habits.
