Be sure to schedule in some time for a visit to Landgoed Nienoord in Leek, where fun attractions are hidden within the old woods, such as a swimming castle and a family park with a playground, children's petting zoo, a model railway and a large fortress with watchtowers. The city of Groningen is also easy to reach by car, where you can admire the Martini tower and the Groninger Museum.
